Jack Nicholson dines out with daughter

07/12/2006 at 10:00 AM ET

Acting legend Jack Nicholson and his 16-year old daughter Lorraine were seen dining at an Italian restaurant in London before moving onto a hotel bar, where they stayed until 2:30am. No worries though, an observer says, "he was being every inch the protective dad, he wouldn’t let her drink but they looked like they were having a great time."

Other diners in the restaurant originally assumed that the lovely blonde on Jack’s arm was his girlfriend! "It became apparent by the way they were with each other that she was in fact his daughter." Lorraine’s mother is Jack’s former girlfriend Rebecca Broussard; the two share a 14-year old son, Raymond, as well.

Jack is 69 – how can someone possibly assume for such a young girl to be his GIRLFRIEND? That’s sick.

Lorraine has grown so much, it seems like yesterday that she was only a baby. She is pretty and a little on the thin side, JMO but teenage girls are often stick thin and fill out later. Jack’s “protective dad” behaviour is really sweet :-)

"We weren't trying to have kids. We left it up to fate. I knew there was a possibility, but I was really excited. Even if you are trying, just to see a positive result is shocking!"
