That’s unfortunate if it’s true (that she has a defect) but it’s probably nothing serious. Celebrities have children with disabilities all the time, it’s no reason to sheild them from your friends.

I actually thought just now that maybe she had a birth defect. Though maybe Katie is going through some kind of depression and Tom is trying everything he can to help her which means that baby Suri will not be going out anytime soon?

I too have been thinking that maybe she does have a birth defect possibly. What other reason could there be that nobody has even seen her? She is NO better baby than anyone else’s. It’s just so bizarre that there have been absolutely no pics of her carrying the baby around outside. Just bizarre!!

If the baby does have some sort of birth defect…why not use your celebrity to bring awareness to it? If she did, why not mention there were some hardships or complications instead of acting like you’re embarassed? I understand sheltering them from the public because the public can be harsh, but it’s like she doesn’t exist!
These two are weird…and I have YET to figure out ONE piece of normalcy in their lives! If the baby does exist, I truly feel sorry for her…just wayyy weird.

This is of course if the story is true, US Weekly doesnt have that great of a track record. They have been off on every single celeb birth lately. They said Katie was having a boy and Angelia was due in May.
Also Tom and Nicole didnt allow a picture of their children for 3 yrs. There was the obscure picture but they didnt get an official one for 3 yrs.
I find no reason to think Suri doesnt exist, its silly. And Katie exihibited every sign of being pregnant, she was bloated, her boobs have grOwn, everything.
YOu dont get like that by eating too many burgers, she was clearly pregnant, imo. Their families have seen the baby, that’s the only thing that matters.

I actually would by a US weekly quote anyday over a STAR or IN TOUCH. I believe Will and Jada but it doesn’t mean she doesnt exist. I believe maybe she does have some sort of defect or illness & they’re embarrassed by it. But it’s no reason to shield her! I mean I am sure she’s a beautiful baby no matter what. But it is wierd that nobody has seen her!

The thing is….Where is Suri, it seems that nobody saw this child since she was born… But also, where is katie holmes???? While she was pregnant she was all the time hanging ou or shopping, we saw pictures of her almost every weeks of her pregnancy and now it’s like she’s hiding to, maybe she suffers a post partum depression,that’s why Tom doesn’t want her to go outside, because photographers could take a bad picture of her. I must admit that i begin to think that the whole story is very very weird… I really hope that, in fact, Suri is at home, in good health, so as Katie and that someday her parents will show a picture of her.. But it’s so strange…

For sure something is up. They are hiding something. No one need to shield a newborn’s indentity to protect them. The baby will be unrecognizable and change considerbaly over the next 18 months. There is some major deception going on. Remeber when Prince was anxiously awaiting the birth of his child some years back? The baby was born deformed and then tragicly died. The press was alerted and the media attention died out quickly. Here you have THE WHOLE WORLD WATCHING AND WAITING. The shock of a still birth or a major deformity is devestating enough when dealing with it privately. But to have the whole world as wittness would be over whelming. What ever it is. It is so devestating that they can’t even involve close friends. For heaven sake they hired security to guard their trash cans. Trying to hide something? Perhaps the fact that there are no dirty diapers or evidence of a baby. HMMMM….makes ya wonder

or that it was katie and her previous chris kleins baby and they are just going to say its toms but now the baby looks alot like chris?? those are my guesses but i dont think they would totally fake a baby im sure theres some baby there i just dont think its Toms at all.

BTW, where is Katie? – I have not seen any new pics of her since early June. She is either working out to fit that size 2 wedding gown or maybe she has escaped to Ohio with the baby. I would prefer the second option.

There was a picture of Kelly Preston’s daughter out when she was a couple of weeks old if I remember. So I am sure its not regligious thing. But like someone said, WHERE IS KATIE? She was all over the place but now she is no where to be seen. I wont be shocked if Suri really doesnt exist.

I read in a magazine the other day that while Tom is busy pursuing his career, Katie almost exclusivly stays at home with Suri nowadays. Maybe Tom made her promise not to go out by herself because he is worried something might happen in his absence, or maybe he’s just very controlling and possessive. Katie is also rumoured to attend several Scientology courses every day, and she also looks after her homeschooled stepchildren Isabella and Connor with the help of Tom’s sister and her family.
I hope Suri is all right and they (at least Tom) are just over-protective. I hope this little girl is healthy, I just wish they’d finally release some photos of the baby.
Maybe they initially held back those photos because they didn’t want Shiloh to get all the attention? But meanwhile, Shiloh’s pics have been out a whole month. I really can’t see what they’re waiting for now!

I am really wondering how Katie got pregnant so quickly. Remember Mimi couldn’t get pregnant with Tom. Nicole couldn’t get pregnant for 10 years, so how come Katie was pregnant as soon as she started going with Tom. Mimi has since had a child and Nicole will have children soon. What does that say about Tom’s ability to father a child. Something very fishy here with Katie saying she fell pregnant so soon

I am tired of the stupid rumors about Tom Cruise and his family. All of these seem to come from unnamed sources who are “close” to some other unnamed family or friend. If I were Tom, I too would keep my baby safe from all the paparazzi and the insane speculations.

Let’s say that Tom and Katie are being overprotective and Suri hasn’t left their property yet…ok, fine, that’s not so far-fetched…but now you are starting to see all these stories about “Where’s Suri?” (I even heard a bit about it on the Today Show here in the U.S. this morning…) So it’s now a news story…where’s Suri? Wouldn’t you think that Tom and Katie would say “ok, here she is…she DOES exist, people!” Instead, they do nothing to help counter the bizarre feeling around the whole thing…so, yes, it’s bizarre to me simply for the fact that they aren’t responding to the questions now. As for the comment about Isabella and Connor being home-schooled…I wonder if they like that or miss having the opportunity to be in school with other kids…if they travel all over the world with their parents and go back and forth between them, it must be difficult for them at times. I wonder if they have best friends, etc…i’m sure it’s exciting to be able to travel all over but if I were in their place, I think I’d be a little resentful of not having a “normal” life (although, yes, I realize, there is no such thing as “normal”…)

I used to think nothing of this situation but after practically three months of nary a sighting of ‘Suri’ it’s getting bizarre. Katie seems to have dropped off the face of the earth as well, it’s just so wierd.
Even if/when Suri does finally surface I still highly doubt people will believe that she’s Tom’s child. I don’t doubt that Katie was indeed pregnant at some point but since she looked at least five months along when they first announced it and then her bump kept fluctuating I think something is up. Maybe she had Chris Klein’s child, maybe Suri was adopted or was born earlier and they’re waiting until she’s older to show so her real age is not apparent…all of these things are possible.
I don’t believe all this stuff about how Scientology is playing a role in why this child had never been seen. I remember seeing pictures of Travolta’s kids and Kirstie Alley’s as well when they were infants. If Suri does exist then I truly think there is something wrong with her, which is sad.
People will argue that we don’t see pictures of all celeb babies. And while some never pose for official photos or sell pictures even the most protective of celeb parents are seen at least out of the house with their children! Take Shania Twain for example, she lives a very secluded life in Europe but pics of her and her son were snapped when she took him out to a cafe a few weeks after birth. Same with Violet Affleck, it was about four/five months before we saw a picture of her face but Jen and Ben were seen out and about with her covered in a stroller or in a sling beforehand. You can’t hide forever.
I’m no Us Weekly fan and while they don’t have the best track record they do sometimes seem to have an inside track on celeb secrets/bombshells. But regardless of this there is truly something odd about theis whole Suri situation and it has to get out at some point.

My first post!. I think that suri is real. She was born in a hospital and no matter how much they would try to cover it up things leak out of hospitals all the time. I think she really isnt Tom’s, or she has a birth defect. However you never really saw pic of his first two kids either. But I think its really bizzare how you never see the baby out. Even if they have her shielded in her stroller. Just getting out and about with the baby would be normal.

cyndy, maybe Tom wasn’t infertile, but Nicole had trouble conceiving. How can you say that she’ll be having kids soon? Fertility can’t be guaranteed.

Of course people have seen Suri. I find it funny no one in the media has mentioned that Tom’s close friend Steven Spielberg was at their home shortly after Suri was born. Also Defamer has a sightingby a person claiming Tom and Katie tok the baby to visit him and take photos. Also Katie’s family was there for a visit I don’t think they came to see nothing. I am doubtful about the quotes from Will and Jada but if true it could just be a case of bad timing as indicated. There is a bay but they are protecting her and I see nothing wrong with that at all.

I think the situation is totally bizzare. The kid is almost 3 months old, and I read she’s never been out of the house. baby’s need fresh air and a change of scene. I understand they want to protect her from the media, but they can’t hide her forever? Also this is off the subject, but where’s Gwyneth Paltrow? She did the photo shoot with baby Moses for people magazine, but I haven’t seen any photos of her since. I wonder if she’s dealing with postpartum depression? Just a thought.

I agree that the situation is bizarre. The weirdest part is that Katie or Tom were not photographed carrying the baby even from far, like Tom and Nicole were when they brought home Bella (I remember seeing Nicole carry the baby bundle while Tom protected her with an umbrella). I’m not surprised he’s not showing her off (for whatever reason–maybe just jealous of all the attention and $$ Shiloh generated) but not being spotted by long range lenses is weird, considering that Katie traveled home, they go out etc. My feeling is that a) there is a baby since Katie definitely looked pregnant and b) baby is not Tom’s.. I remember that Mimi and Nicole could not get pregnant and they adopted quickly after he and Nicole married (Mimi since had kids). Katie, however, got pregnant almost immediately after she and Tom met and she looked VERY pregnant early on–I think she either WAS already pregnant at the time or got pregnant via in vitro, with some “chosen” sperm. I would not be so suspicious if he was someone very private like David Letterman (but even he showed a photo after Harry was born) but Tom made his affair with “Kate” a public spectacle so why suddenly so shy about the baby? Another possibility is a deformity that they’ll have to wait to fix or Tom plans to cure with vitamins… Or.. Katie has pospartum depression and refuses to show the baby.

Actually reading the posts about Scientology reminds me there are rumours John Travoltas son is autistic (or something similar) yet they have never publicly acknowledged that. They have spoken about Kawazaki (sp?) Jett suffers from but nothing else. Maybe Scientologists think ‘ignore it & it will go away’ 
I find it odd the publicity surrounding TomKats relationship and baby just happen to coincide with the release of Toms latest movie.

Katie was pregnant. Her body definitely changed, including her face, which looked puffy. Then, after the baby was born, she looked just like a tired mom and even a photographer took pictures of stretch marks on her belly.
I don’t believe there was a stillbirth. Tom was glowing about his child on the Ellen show. If the baby died, he would have been mourning.
If there is an illness or a defect, I definitely think they should just come out about it. I’ve been to Children’s Hospital and have seen some of the most beautiful and special children there. I think people would admire them for speaking up and educating the public about it. Plus, sharing hardships with close friends and family is a way to deal with it and get the support you need.
The thing I don’t get is how he flaunted the pregnancy so much and dragged Katie all over the place, brags about the baby’s birth and then all of a sudden…. NOTHING. Celebrities do deserve some privacy in their lives, however, to keep flaunting the pregnancy to the public and then leave them cold is a big tease. You would think we’d at least see a picture of her a blanket over her head or in a protected stroller. They can’t keep her cooped up inside her whole life!! And why isn’t Katie bragging to the world about her beautiful baby?? They could show even just one photo to satisfy the public and then keep the rest private. Like someone said, she will change so much as she grows up.

I remember seeing Elle Travolta on the Oprah show having her nappy changed when she was only very tiny. I do find this whole situation weird, although i could be a very clever publicity ploy. They hype up the relationship and the pregnancy, and then when it comes time to see the baby, the go cold on it, and refuse to show her. Then you get thousands and thousands of people surrounding the whole thing, and their names are never out of the press. Failing that, there’s gotta be something up with the baby (birth defect, she’s not the biological child of one or both of the parents etc….). I just honestly believe that if there is a specific reason as to why we haven’t seen Suri yet, then it will be control freak Tom’s idea. He’s not doing himself or Katie any favours with this. It’s just hyping up the loony rumours around them.
I don’t like to be a cynic, but I really wouldn’t be surprised if this child doesn’t actually exist, or there’s something wrong with her, and Tom wanted the perfect baby, so he won’t show her. It’s sad if that is the truth, but seems to be increasingly appropriate, given Tom’s behaviour in general. He wanted the perfect bride (or so we are led to believe, because of the way the relationship has been orchestrated, and the method by which Katie has been allegedly harranged into having the perfect body), and wants the perfect baby too.

For someone to say “I don’t want to be a cynic, but…” and then go on and completely criticize someone they only know about through tabloids, is typical these days. Especially with Tom Cruise.
As outspoken as Kate’s father has been about this relationship, if the baby didn’t exist or this was all a “hoax”, I seriously doubt her dad would have kept his mouth shut about it this long.
Kate is a grown woman who is making her own choices and they both seem really happy. I don’t blame them for not wanting to show their baby, because all anyone does is make fun of them these days. So why put Kate, a new mother, and a beautiful new baby girl through anything like that??
They owe us nothing!!

We’ll see pictures when Tom’s got a new movie coming out or something. My opinion is that the baby does NOT exist, never did and never will. Katie was never pregnant and Tom and Katie have been scamming the world ever since they got together. But that’s only my opinion. That’s all.

I think Suri does exist, although when she was born and/or if she has a disability is anyone’s guess at this point. If she does have a disability, I don’t know why they should hide her away and not try to crusade for charity organizations that try to raise money to help people with it. (ie. Operation Smile, Jerry Lewis’ MDS Telethon, etc.) Even if it’s a rare disorder, or she has the symptoms of a Thalidamide baby, it would still shed light on something many people may not know about, rather than be embarassed about it.
(I read somewhere too that Katie hasn’t even been back to Toledo in over a year, so I guess she isn’t hanging out there.)
It would really be a tragic double whammy if Suri had a disorder and/or had SIDS and Katie had PPD, but I suppose it could happen. I guess we’ll see Suri and/or Katie when the time is right, if ever.

I’m a national reporter – normally hard news rather than THIS kind of stuff – yet I must say I am genuinely fascinated by this story.
Knowing how Tom was leading up to and right after his marriage to Katie – I’m amazed the arrival of their child did not elicit similar “couch-hopping” exhibitions soonafter her birth. Especially when Tom had a movie opening and facinga supposed drop in popularity.

Of course, like everyone else here, I’d love it that everything was okay, and that they were just shielding the baby, but it’s really out of wack with the rest of the publicity hungry behaviour from Tom Cruise.
Not once in my post did I say that Katie and Tom owed us anything, so I must assume that you were telling off someone else when you said that. But regardless, I will respond. No one is claiming we are owed pictures of the baby. That’s a very weird thing to imply. It’s just strange for a baby to stay so hidden when the media is so after photos. Usually they get them in the end, and so far nothing has happened with this one. And of course, the relationship and pregnancy was heavily publicised, I guess now Katie is a housewife, and Tom has nothing to promote, they don’t need to wheel out another bit of their private life for column inches….
And it really makes me laugh for someone to criticize me for sharing my opinions on someone I have only known through tabloids, and for them to go on to share their own opinion. Lol. It’s such a contradiction in standards. It doesn’t matter whether our opinions were good or bad, the fact that I can get my wrist slapped by someone who then goes on to exhibit behaviour they were telling me off for is so funny!
Anyways, like I said, hope it’s all good for the baby and Katie. Maybe the truth will out one day!

I believe that Suri is alive and well but Tom AND Katie are keeping her out of the public eye to drum up interest. Think about it TomKat got slammed this year for their unusual courtship and people got sick and tired of seeing them to the point where people were begging them to go away. Now they’ve gone away and people are begging them to come back. Tom has been accused of being crazy but never of being stupid. This is PR strategy at its best.
I have two other theories that go along with my first (see above):
1. Tom & Katie “relationship” began with a contract.
2. Tom is not Suri’s biological father.
Also, I don’t believe for a minute that Katie is brainwashed or naive in any way shape or form. She is a 27/28 year old woman who has made and continues to make conscious decisions on how she wants her life to be. Katie has always been seen as sweet but has never been accused, up until recently, of being naive or stupid. If my theories are correct than Katie is just as much to “blame” as Tom is.

I certainly do NOT feel that we the public are OWED…and I think that most of us are in aggrement on that. It has been such an incredibly odd relationship from the very beginning. We were force-fed their “amazing love” every second of their relationship. Suddenly, NOTHING. It’s either feast or famine it seems. When there is not a sense of balance, these speculations are bound to continue to churn. I’ve heard people ask questions on this topic that have had absolutely NO prior interest in their “story”. Once again, it’s about balance. When people behave in the extreme,( extreme, meaning all in our faces with their love and pregnancy, and SUDDENLY ABSOLUTELY NOTHING) ears start perking up.

I kept wondering how come we saw alot of john travolta’s daughter but never his son. If it is true he has autism then that explains it. A couple years back I found that there is a webiste devoted to Ella that the travolta’s setup and I kept thinking how strange to devote all this time and engery to one child when you have two.

As parents, we are responsible for our children. No parent, whether famous or the guy down the street has to produce his/her child to prove he or she exists. For whatever reason Mr. Cruise has decided to shield his child from the public he does not need to defend that choice to anyone. Do what you believe right, as parents we make decisions, they may not always be the right decision, but we do our best…

I think it is likely that the baby is not Tom’s and was born much sooner than reported and that is why they are not releasing pictures of her. And by the looks of Katie I saw in a recent picture with Tom… well she looks awfwl. She looks miserable and unhappy. I think he is a possessive control freak who has gone off the deep end. I feel sorry for poor little Suri. Katie needs to wake up and RUN GIRL RUN!

I can only imagine that if Suri does exist (and realistically I think she probably does, whether she is actually the genetic child of Katie and Tom or not), then Tom is doing all this for publicity. He’s hiding her away either until he has a film to promote, or he needs good publicity, or the photos can raise more than Shiloh Jolie-Pitt’s, if those rumours are to be believed.
Honestly though, I think this story is going to run and run. I’d be surprised if we see photos (official or not) of this baby before she is a year old.
