Tori Spelling on her late father, Aaron Spelling

By auditioning contributor Kaisa

Tori Spelling says that she has made peace with her father, TV-producer Aaron Spelling, who passed away just last week. Their relationship had become tense for some time before his death, according to People magazine. But now Tori has made peace with him, saying: "I’m grateful I recently had the opportunity to reconcile with my father and most grateful we had the chance to tell each other we loved one another before he passed away." She also praised Aaron Spelling for his fatherhood skills: "It’s a true blessing to have had a parent that loved me unconditionally. He had a heart as big as his talent and today, along with many others, I mourn his loss. He was a great man and even better father."Aaron Spelling, who passed away last Friday at the age of 83, left behind two children: Tori, 33, and Randy, 27.

Which is true? US Weekly is reporting:

“”A friend of mine had seen a TV report and e-mailed me, ‘I’m so sorry. I just heard your father died.’ And I was just in total shock,” says Tori.

Her sorrow quickly turned to anger. “My first thought was, I can’t believe my mom didn’t call me!”

Erm.

Wait, who cares.

She reconciled with him shorty after he had his stroke, less than a week before he died. She did find out from a friend that her father died. This is one big family feud that I can’t see going away.

This is a tragic situation. Tori is a sweet, funny and amazingly good-hearted person.
The family drama stems from questionable choices made by her mother while her ailing father was alive. Please give Tori a break as she is grieving – the truth will prevail.

I didn’t know they were feuding before. I guess even rich people can have daddy-issues too. I was able to reconcile with my dad 4 days before he was killed so I know how much that had to mean to her, especially if they were having problems. It’s painful enough losing them, but losing them with unresolved problems is worse.

Just read an editorial on foxnews.com that the last time Tori saw her father was last Sept. It’s just so sad that their “dirty laundry” is being aired to the public shortly after Aaron’s passing. I grew up watching his shows. I was totally shocked to hear of the news of his death. Unfortunately, I see this drama getting even uglier!!!

Tori is a sweet, funny and amazingly good-hearted person?!

You obviously didn’t see the snark remarks she made at the MMVA’s.

- Stacey on

Actually, Jashmom, the article says she had only seen her father once since September. The last time she saw him was on June 11th when she introduced him to Dean.

Zoe….this is from the article/editorial I was refering to…

“My sources say that Tori, in fact, had not seen her father since last September. The word is that Aaron was not aware of her divorce from first husband Charlie Shanian and quick marriage to husband No. 2, who is also the father of two from his first marriage (publicist Sasaki was unclear about this himself). Tori’s marriage to Shanian broke up when she had an affair with McDermott on the set of a Lifetime TV movie.”

But, I did read something yesterday on eonline that says she saw her father June 11. My point was that in this sad time for the Spelling family, their family feud is being played out in the media.

Yeah, you are right it really is sad. I would hate for everyone to know I was fighting with my dad like that.

On one hand it is too bad we don’t know the complete truth…did she see him or not, but on the other hand, it really isn’t any of our business. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family, fighting or not, this is a terrible time for them to be sure.

Just because someone makes snarky comments does not make them a bad person! If that were true I guess that would make everyone on here a bad person! LOL 8p

Tori strikes me as a very sweet lady. She seems genuine and down to earth. I actually had the pleasure of meeting her on a flight from the US to the UK a few years ago and she was very friendly, no celeb super-ego at all!

I wish her and her family well. My heart goes out to her at such a difficult time.

I do feel sadness for the family-that said, I don’t care if she is sappy sweet and friendly…. what she and Dean did was repulsive! “It just happened, you can’t help who you fall in love with” GIVE ME A BREAK!! We make choices.

While I feel for Tori and realise it must be hard to lose a Parent…. She didn’t have to go to the media and talk about how she found out about her father’s death & ect so soon after his death.
