Basketball Player Lamar Odom's Son Passes Away

In very sad news, Los Angeles Laker Lamar Odom‘s six-and-a-half month old son died Wednesday night. It is believed that Jayden Odom suffocated while sleeping in his crib.

"Lamar is very distraught," said John Black, team spokesman for the Los Angeles Lakers. "Both he and the baby’s mother are asking that people respect their privacy at this time." Jayden, who was born December 15, is the third child for Lamar. He has an older daughter, Destiny, and son, Lamar Jr.

That is so sad. I never experienced a loss close to me but I know they must be hurting deep inside. I pray that they would overcome this death peacefully and their bond will be greater.

So sad. My neice passed away at 6 weeks a couple years ago in a similar fashion, her mother had her in the bed with her. Its unimaginable pain. My prayers are with them.

This is one of the most horrible things that could happen to a parent and their family.

My niece died at 5 months, 3 weeks 1 day old. My sister was a very young mother, 16 when she was born 17 when she buried her, she was my “Angel Baby” and to this day she still is, Her birthday is the hardest time. August 7, 1997 was the day she passed away. My heart just dropped when I saw this. It is so hard on the entire family.

I hope that people respect their wishes right now. They are going to need support from the ones closest to them but anyone that isn’t close to them needs to stay away. It’s times like this that I can hope that the Papz are chasing after Lindsey Lohan or other such twentysomethings that are all over Hollywood.

Sorry that might be a little mean but those that put themselves in the spotlight ask for attention.

I hope that the grief that they feel now will ease a little, it’s soon to be 9 years since my niece died and this brought me back to 1997.

I feel so terrible for him. My prayers will be with him and his family. It’s a hard thing.

I just late last year. He was stillborn, and it still hurts. Not as much, but there’s still pain.
