Nicole Kidman– Is She or Isn't She?

According to reports in The Post Chronicle, Nicole Kidman‘s gorgeous Balenciaga wedding dress had to be tailored just hours before her big event with Keith Urban because it was a little too tight. In past weeks, Nicole had been seen attending a yoga class and boarding her plane for Australia with a bulging stomach, fueling speculation that she is pregnant. Her spokesperson said that, because Nicole is Catholic, it would "never do" for her to be pregnant before marriage, but these reports suggest the opposite! In the official wedding picture released by Keith and Nicole, her stomach is hidden by Keith’s open jacket.

For the betting sort, online sportsbook Bodog.com has even given favorable odds that Nicole is pregnant and will announce the next pregnancy by July 14th.

*Sigh* I think that is just the most gorgeous wedding photo. They look so cute! I would love for her to be pregnant, because she seems to want it so bad, and I think they would just have the most adorable babies. But if she is and her spokesperson is saying that, that would annoy me a little. Why not just say ‘no comment’? There’s no need to lie. Anyway, best of luck to them.

Eh…. I would sort of have to agree with her publicist… I mean I don’t see Nicole as that type of person because yes she is Catholic and she seems devout. It would be wonderful if she had a baby but I don’t want to assume.

I just have to say that I am Catholic and had a full Catholic wedding when I was 8 months pregnant! It is totally possible and allowed!

Stacey, are you aware that Tom Cruise already has a baby! Plus there were rumors (that I’m pretty sure Nicole confirmed) that she had a miscarrage during her marriage to Tom.

I really hope she is, or is soon.

I think her kids with Tom look happy and well adjusted – obviously the result of good parenting – esp considering the seperation and custody issues!

I personally think she already is pregnant. If she isn’t however I hope it happens soon for them. I know she’s really wanted a pregnancy for awhile.

I think she is – not only were the yoga photos very convincing, but this is almost the exact same dress that Gwyneth Paltrow had cut to fit her (maternity style) for the Golden Globe awards. Both were Balenciaga, for sure…I think she and Keith would be wonderful parents! Best to both of them.

I think there’s a good chance that she is pregnant. Just because her PR person denied it doesn’t mean squat! 8) After all, until recently, the same rep denied that Keith & Nicole were even an item.

I guess only time will tell for sure, but if she is, I don’t think her spokesperson should have said what was said. To me a “No Comment” or something to that effect would have been better. Guess we will all just have to wait and see for absolute sure.

I seem to remember learning in biology that it’s possible for certain COUPLES to not be able to concieve. something to the effect of “the body chemistry is off”. sperm being too acidic or something. so i DO think it is possible for nicole to have a baby with keith, when she couldnt with tom, just like katie got pregnant and had tom’s daughter.

but then again, i seem to remember Nicole’s problem is that she can’t carry to term, not that she cant get pregnant!

It is also possible that Nicole is/was allergic to Tom (now be nice ya’ll lol). Josie Bissett is/was allergic to Rob Estes and had a miscarriage. After they diagnosed the problem, she had some of Rob’s blood injected into her system so she could build up antibodies to him and not reject the baby. End result…two beautiful children. This could be the problem for a lot of couples, but they just might not know it.

Didn’t Nicole have two miscarriages when she was with Tom?

Sometimes it takes many years for a woman to fall pregnant, for some reason or another, sometimes there is no reason at all, and it still doesn’t happen for a long time.

Anyway, I really hope she is and I wish her, her new husband and her 2 children all the best in the world!

Zoe-thanks. that’s kinda what i meant. sometimes a woman’s body rejects a man’s sperm. a friend of mine was married for many years, and she and her husband never produced children. they divorced, and married other people and VOILA! both couples became pregnant!

Nicole converted to Scientology when she was with Tom. Their kids are going to a Scientology school as well. She just recently went back to her Catholic faith so I can’t see her becomming pregnant before actually being married a problem.

Aw it would be good if they had a baby soon, espcially since they aren’t getting any younger and all. I commend Nicole for at least saying that she’s a good girl, even if she really is pregnant though. (Actually I can sort of understand why she wouldn’t want to admit to a pregnancy yet, especially with her difficultes in the past with Tom. Plus she probably wants to set a good example for her daughter Isabella, by not lower herself to her ex’s Tom’s level with his girlfriend Katie, although Isabella probably can already guess if her mom is actually pregnant.)

Anyway I just love Nic & Keith’s wedding pic because it’s sort of retro. Nicole’s conservative wedding gown with the super-long tulle veil reminds me so much of pics of my mother’s wedding gown & veil from early 1973. (Of course my mom’s only 5ft tall, so her veil really reached the floor! lol!)

I do know Keith has stated in a few interviews (one that I still have with me somewhere) from a year or two ago, that he wanted to settle down, get married, and have a family, and I’m sure he’ll be a good father to Nicole’s other children, but I do hope they get pregnant and have children together as well, if it’s possible and they both want it. They seems so happy together and so loving.

Considering what everyone else mentioned already about her troubles before I really also hope that she is pregnant as I think it would be a wonderful thing for them. And I have to agree that I LOVE the wedding photo they released.

I think pregnancy is a definite possibility given the recent photos of her, and evidence is piling up to support this conclusion. That being said, I think of Nicole as having a higher morality standpoint than the countless other celebs who get pregnant out of marriage like it’s no big deal, and if she really is pregnant, I will definitely lose a certain amount of respect for her, especially since her rep has now denied it and insisted that it isn’t even a possibility. Call me conservative, but I truly believe that “marriage” comes before “baby carriage” for a reason. Marriage is the most solid commitment two people can make, and thus giving birth afterwards allows the baby to be born into a stable environment (in many cases, hopefully). I am a Catholic like Nicole, but that doesn’t mean I agree with the church on all counts-in fact, I disagree with them on many issues, but this is one I strongly support. Nicole is the classiest woman in Hollywood in my opinion, and while I can’t wait for her to announce a pregnancy, I really hope it will be a few months down the line-though I have a sinking feeling it will be sooner than that…

i think it is great that someone would wait til they are married and committed to have a child as a symbol of martial love rather than wedlock. i personally think it means much more to a couple and to the child. i think it is bad to look at hollywood for the model of relationships, especially since close to the majority of them are not married and usually end up not being committed for life and are having babies (ie brad and angelina and katie and tom) because they have the money to afford if a relationship goes sour and can support their kids if they have to bring them up in a single parent household– most of us would scrap by. thats why marriages stand a 50/50 chance. i know some of you may thing marriage is “just a piece of paper” (like heath ledger and michelle), but once you sign it and have a ceremony uniting the two and saying it under god and/or your friends and family, it really is sooo much more than that. hollywood doesn’t take marriages and wedlock seriously in my opinion, nor traditional values of raising a family which research is starting to support.

If her publicists refused to comment or made some lame excuse (not involving religion) I might have said she was pregnant. But you guys posted a picture of Alicia Silverstone a long time ago with a massively swollen belly, and she wasn’t pregnant. Some people just noticibly bulge. Many brides need their gowns altered just before the wedding. That really doesn’t impress me as a pregnancy sign.

Justjared just posted a honeymoon photo of Nicole in a bikini–she does not look pregnant at all. I also think that if she were pregnant, her flack would not start denials with “she’s religious”.. it would be just a bit ridiculous and humiliating to her if she were.

Well…it is sorta of sickening for someone to say how devout and religious she is being she has appeared naked in how many movies??? Now just because it happens to be her work has nothing to do with it because plenty of actresses have NOT done this to sell their movies. So let’s see, it is ok to be having sex before marriage in the catholic church, but not if you get pregnant???? Supposidly you can, but her people report she wouldn’t have it that way??? (being prego before marriage in the church?)This is so lame! I don’t see her as a devout catholic…not at all. I am christian, not catholic, but I thought they had morals??? I am not a prude, and I don’t care if they had sex before marriage, but to make it look like she is so flawless is an understatement! She just wants the public to see her that way.

It being her work does have something to do w/it. She can be a devout catholic w/o having to follow everything they say to a tee. Also having baby before marriage is a bigger deal than showing skin while doing her job.

I think it’s good. To many people these days are WAY to loose having kids w/ commitment.

She could be pregnant, but on the other hand she is, from what I’ve heard, quite a devout Catholic and despite the film parts with nudity etc etc, I think she is pretty old-fashioned for a Hollywood star . She doubtless would want to set a good example for her teen daughter.
