Okay so here’s my issue with Britney. Or I should say one of my issues…
Everyone has seen her schlumping around with her ratty hair and ratty clothes and bad skin and generally looking like she just crawled out of a dumpster. Right?
So my question is – who does she think she’s fooling? She’s like a walking photoshop demo in all these photo spreads she does.
It’s like – if you want us to think you actually look like that and it isn’t all airbrushing and styling, and you know that the paps are going to be following you everywhere – you may at least want to give your hair a quick brush and use some concealer once in a while. Maintain the illusion a little – just even a little bit of effort? I have two little kids full-time with no help and squeeze in a part-time job during naptime, but I’d rather die than leave the house looking like that.
She even had some warning and time to prepare with the Matt Lauer interview and she managed to look like a pregnant hooker (no offense to hookers).
I know that it’s all smoke and mirrors in showbiz and most celebrities don’t look so hot with their masks scraped off, but come on, this is in another realm of silliness.
One day she and her thong are spilling out all over her too-tight jeans and her hair is detaching at the hinges, and the next day she’s a healthy, tanned pregnant Goddess. Hilarious…

Faghag is a little mouthy in my opinion and I think she looks great. I’ve never been a fan of Britney’s music or anything, but what is it with everyone on her case about everything? I don’t think the photos are that bad, not the greatest by any means, but not that bad. I think a lot of people have a blast trashing her, but I do agree she often makes herself an easy target.

I’d like to see Brit get a really good image consultant. Someone with her best interests at heart. She could do with some good advice in regards to her career and her image.

I would agree that Brit has not looked the best lately, but then again, she admits she has been an emotional wreck. So it’s bound to show in her appearance.

SPF/Britney pic is adorable. The other pictures of Britney look fake and ridiculous. The bottom line is: You do not appear on the front of a magazine unless you have something to promote.
Look at Heath Ledger & Michelle Williams. Not followed by paparazzi to the extent that Britney is at all. Why? They don’t do emotional interviews on Dateline or appear on mag covers complete with nude pics. They let their work speak for itself. Obviously Britney is not that kind of person.

You know, even if I did find the shoot classy, the woman has young girls as her primary audience. She’s not particularly appealing to your “Demi-audience,” children are the ones seeking out Britney Spears photo spreads … somehow it just makes the bare shots all the more yuck. This is why she could benefit from a good PR person. In my opinion she didn’t do herself any favors by blaming the driving-with-baby-in-lap incident on being “country.” It probably would have been better to say, “Yes. I messed up. It was a mistake.” She could have even turned it into a positive & mention how it has gotten people talking more about child safety.

While we can’t say for certain that Britney is or isn’t sorry for her past mistakes, I do think it’s unfair to say she keeps repeating them. What incident has she repeated?

In my opinion, nothing she has done (besides the driving/baby/lap thing) has been that bad. What mother hasn’t made mistakes? In that respect I would agree that people are way too hard on Britney.

She looks polished, her clothes (well the few items she wears) are fashionable, her hair is done nicely and I’m guessing the interview will be articulate. Some way to counteract anything. A touch of photoshoot and some grooming, and presto chango! New and improved Britney minus signs of a C-section! Wow. Amazing.

Why do this after the crying/meltdown fiasco over no-one leaving her be during Dateline? How can anyone leave her alone when she makes herself fodder for whoever is hungry for some controversy? It definitely negates her wanting everyone to leave her alone, give her some space. How’s that going to happen when she’s done two magazine deals coming out/already out?

I’ll say the one with Sean Preston is decent because she’s clothed, and I can’t hate on an innocent baby. I’m not too keen on the back of the dress because it seems a bit tacky, IMO. The whole shoot minus one the Sean photo just seemed tacky. Sean’s photo is the only saving grace of the entire shoot.

I don’t think anyone will ever understand her motives for doing half of the things she does now. I won’t even try. Not worth it.

I’ll leave well enough alone now.

Britney does look quite beautiful in those pics, however I’d never have photos like that taken of myself.

Probably the one I dislike the most is the one in which she’s in that fur coat/robe and a g-string. Who’s she trying to look like, Lil Kim or some girl in a rap video? (IMHO she almost looks like that statue of her giving birth on a bearskin rug. Maybe she’ll actually do that this time…who knows?!)

Plus the air brushing in all the pics is a little over the top. She’s not hispanic, or Angelina/Demi, or the girl from the cover of the old “Herb Alpert & the Tiajuana Brass ‘Whipped Cream…’ ” album.

well said, Gina. She should be able to pick the times she wants to be seen and doesn’t want to be seen. I don’t think the photos are trashy at all. She looks beautiful, whether she has been photoshopped or not. As for the csection scar, it is probably a bikini cut way below her “hairline”. Since it was a scheduled csection, they didn’t have to do a traditional up and down csection cut. I have the same scar, a bit lower than my underwear line. It wouldn’t show if I did pics like this, which I would do in a second if I hadn’t gotten strecth marks!

I really hate the term “media whore”. It is really disrespectful. And, I think she is trying to spin any publicity towords a positive. This one may have backfired on her, but who cares! It doesn’t matter what she does, she will always be bashed by most people here. Like a PP said, she could save a child from drowning and posters on CBB would all say she threw the kid into the water!

The pictures are lovely. And EVERY photo that appears in the glossy fashion mags is retouched as are many photos that appear in the tabs. So what? It is what it has always been.

Britney’s horrible at managing her public life. If she wants to be left alone; it’s doable. It requires that she and her husband and family decamp from LA and lie low somewhere. Plenty of major wattage stars manage it.

Clearly, the folks around her–professional and personal–aren’t giving her good advice, and she is for whatever reason unable to figure things out on her own. Maybe one day she will be.

I gotta say, it is a real shame that every time I log on here and read about a Britney story, there are so many bashers, it’s utterly ridiculous. NO ONE can deny that this pregnancy agrees with her and she looks absolutely stunning and happy, but you people have to “nit pick” every little thing just to have something negative to say. I am also a bit disappointed in the editors of this site for allowing such comments to be made (i.e. calling her a whore), it’s no secret, Danielle, that Britney is not your fav celeb, but everyone deserves respect. I think it’s ashame that our young nieces, daughters whatever have to look up to this girl!! There is NOTHING to look up to! what has she done that makes me go, “Britney your a damn good role model for my kids?”

I wouldn’t say that posing for a magazine while pregnant is tasteless but it can be done with class….this is not class IMO!

This is someone who has been crying for months about too much attention on her and then turns around and poses naked for all to see!! The girl contradicts herself ALL the damn time! I think the pictures are kind of odd, but they are for a fashion magazine, so ehn. I tend to not be a fan of “fashion photography” anyway.

I had also seen elsewhere that the pictures and story had been cut as per Britney’s request but that they were supposed to originally run in August.

I am also not a fan of Britney, but wouldn’t go so far as to say that she is being a horrible person. She is doing what any celebrity does and trying to control her image. The problem is that she doesn’t seem to do this consistently and that’s what gets her into trouble and causes her to send mixed messages.

I will say that it is odd to me how much press she is currently getting considering she actually has nothing to sell. She isn’t promoting anything right now, no album, no single, nothing. And she’s said she wants to take a break. So, I think she should do that because it would probably give her some peace and quiet for a while and then she can make a “triumphant return!” later.

She def has cellulite and she has to have some stretch marks-somewhere on her body! She does NOT look this perfect, don’t be fooled. The real Brit was on Dateline..ya know…’Country’ and all. I think the pregnant body is very beautiful and I don’t think there is anything wrong with photographing it if it’s done tastefully. If I had the opportunity (and the airbrushing), I most definitely would have done it when I was pregnant. Would I have worn a G-string and fur? No way. Clutching my chest? Uh, uh. I guess it’s all in the image you want to portray. Brooke Shields had a nude picture taken of her and Rowan and I absolutely loved it. The rest of Britney’s pictures are nice ‘though. If privacy is her main issue right now, maybe she should have had the pictures taken and then kept them for her own private viewing or at least select the pictures that portray the image you want and discard the rest.

Doreen, how do you know she has cellulite and stretch marks?? I have 2 friends that have 2 children each and neither of them got a stretch mark anywhere or cellulite at all. So, it is possible!

I am glad there are at least a few here saying positive things about Britney. As for her being a role model, she did not ask to be a role model. And, I seriously doubt she is on the minds of young girls anymore with the likes of Avril Levigne and Hilary Duff all over the place. Brit is married and a mom. I really doubt young girls look up to her. The girls that did look up to her in the past for whatever reason are all older now, between 17-25. My daughter loved Britney and Christina when they first came out. I had no problem with either of them. Until Christina put out the album “Dirty”. That made me take a step back. But, we as parents need to let our children know the difference between appropriate dress and appropriate behavior in the real world and in “Hollywood”. Then, it won’t matter what a celeb does, our daughters will notg be influenced. Mine never was. She liked their music and the dancing and that was that.

I also LOVED the pic of Brooke and Rowan. There is nothing wrong with the pictures. Just like there is nothing wrong with the pics of Britney. Whether she said she wanted the paparazzi to leave her alone or not, these pics were done on her terms in a studio, not taken of her through her curtains or in her car or on the street, which is where the paparazzi stalk. BIG difference!

she may not have set out to be a role model but that’s what you get when your in the public eye!!! Little girls looking up to you even if you don’t want them to. How are you going to tell 11 and 12 year olds that you can’t idolize someone?! Yes children need to be taught at home the proper way to act, behave, and dress but who can honestly say that their children aren’t brainwashed that this is how someone should look or behave?! All I know is my cousin was 9 years old when she saw Britney go onto the Kids Choice Awards wearing a white shirt and bra and asked me why she did that? (were talking about right after Brit came out with the first album)! I told my cousin I am not sure but it was inappropriate indeed! That was truly the moment I stopped enjoying her and now she just gets worse and worse and worse. She’s no role model for any child (neither is Christina or alot of other girls) but atleast some of these young girls know where they came from and know that they don’t NEED to be sexy to sell. Tink, I have been reading your comments for awhile now, and I must say that I feel you have a very naive opinion of Britney and the consequences of her actions. Like you, I believe that she is being unfairly judged as a mother because of who she is and her disaster with Sean last January. That being said, we live in a society where people do not like to be held responsible for their actions and are constantly blaming their problems on other people. You insist up one side and down the other that you are not a Britney fan, yet you make numerous posts defending her from anyone who questions her judgement any time the subject arises. You are willing to defend any and every mistake she makes, whether it be making a poor impression on Dateline or this photo shoot despite her lack of work to promote and her screaming for privacy or her “not asking to be a role model.” Sorry honey, but when you become a celebrity in the public eye, you ARE a role model whether you like it or not, and Britney’s ignorance concerning this fact is disgusting. I find it ironic that whenever someone expresses a negative opinion about Britney, people immediately yell “Why are you being so mean to her?? She’s just a young mother trying to do the best she can!” etc., etc.). She is also a public figure with a responsibility to present herself as a mature person willing to admit her mistakes, and she has failed to do that time and time again, even when she is given too many second chances to count. The sooner people stop making excuses for her and accepting the fact that she is in fact responsible for the choices she makes, the better off we’ll all be.

Lauren, I find it funny that in the above post you completely contradict yourself. First you say she is a role model and has to present herself as such. Presumably because others look up to her and will emulate her (ie, role model). And then you claim that people are responsible for their own actions and we don’t take responsibility for our own mistakes as a society. Which is it? I happen to agree with the latter. I can’t help but feel she just needs some guidance from people who really do love her and not people that “claim” they love her. I’m beginning to wonder if she understands what real love is and that you can find it from adults, not just your children. I desperately wish that I could have just one afternoon to connect with her and let her see that not everyone in the world judges her as harshly as the tabloids do and that love can be unconditional. These photos are just another cry of help. Granted she’s not totally showing everything off retaining what little dignity she can, but it is her way of putting herself out there and begging for someone to notice that she’s self destructing. I feel so horrible for her and for the damage that this is going to cause for poor Sean. He’s so adorable and he’s so tiny and so clueless, what is he going to think if his mommy can’t pull it together by the time he starts connecting all of the dots. Now Britney isn’t perfect, but for God’s sake, leave the girl alone! What about when Kate Moss posed nude while pregnant? Didn’t the painting get sold for like, £3 million or something? I don’t remember her getting slagged off or called a “media-grabbing whore”. And although I think Kate is beautiful, she isn’t exactly mum of the year… even before the cocaine scandel she was always out partying till the early hours. I agree that some people might not like these photos, but others are just taking it too far. Is there any need to slag Brit off so much? What has she done that’s so bad? Yes, the car seat thing was stupid, but everything else, eg. the almost dropping SP and the high-chair incident, they’re mistakes which many mothers make, and people are judging Britney like she is the only one in the world to have had an accident. And who cares if she doesn’t always go out looking her best? She has been groomed to perfection since she was still growing up, maybe she wants to let her hair down her bit now… Does anyone actually care when they see a young mother not looking her best? Does it actually concern anyone that much? Or is just because it’s Brit and she’s and easy target? I think the answer to that is the latter.

Lauren, I have NEVER said I was not a Britney fan. I liked her when she first came out, I listened to her music, I am just not a HUGE fan. I think she is misunderstood and targeted by people in a negative way no matter what she does. Nobody deserves that. Celeb or not.She is not a child abuser or a mass murderer. She is a first time mom learning from her mistakes and getting every mistake plastered all over the place. I am certainly not naive. I have also not defended her in everything she has done. I didn’t like her choice of husband, but hey, it wasn’t MY choice for MY life. It’s her life. I don’t judge her for it. I did not defend her driving with SP on her lap either, once I heard the whole story. I am quick to say she was an idiot for doing it. But, I don’t blame her for the high chair thing or the tripping incident. And I do believe she is genuinely upset by all the negative media attention. I do not think the tears were “crocodile tears”. I do think she is trying to be seen more positively in the media and it will just never work because of people like some people here. I was taught that judging people is not my place. I have never bashed ANY celeb here. So, why would I bash Britney? I don’t believe it conjures up anything good. I also believe in karma and I think you get back what you give when it comes to speaking about people. This includes celebs. Just because I don’t personally know them doesn’t mean I have the right to tear them apart either.

I guess it comes down to manners and class. Whether Britney has class or not, I can still be classy about it and everything I post. After all, as I have said before…this site was supposed to be about celebrating celebrities and their children. That is what I would like to spend my free time online doing. If others feel the need to bash people they don’t even know, feel free. Free speech and all. I can still root for the underdog and I always will. Go Britney! There are some of us rooting for you!

Like it or not, Brit has something alot of people like and want. Not me necessarily, just in general. And whether we like her or approve of what she does isn’t relevant. It is her life, her marriage and her children. All I can do is wish her well and hope she does really learn from the mistakes she has made. I think deep down inside she is a good person trying to live a very public life and it isn’t always smooth sailing. It never is for ANYONE. Walk a mile in someone else’s shoes and only then can you understand what they go through.

The celebs who seem to stay out of the limelight are usually the ones with not much going on in their careers or lives at that moment. There are exceptions. Look at Reese Witherspoon. She is doing nothing right now and still manages to get snapped every couple of days, with her kids, and is also in the tabloids all the time with supposedly false statements being said. She just deals with it differently. Let’s face it, celebs use the media all the time. They ALL do. They use it to their advantage and they do get slammed every now and then too for no reason other than the tabloids needed a story that day. Whether it is made up or true. Jennifer Aniston is constantly in the tabloids. She posed mostly nude a few months back in some fashion mag I don’t remember. Demi posed nude while PG. Brooke also. But, nobody bashed them like they bash Britney. So, whether I am naive or not, whether I like Britney or not, whether Britney discovers the cure for cancer, donates millions to charity, and spends the rest of her life being 100% perfect as a mother she will always be thought of as trash by most here. It’s a fact. I don’t think of her that way, and it is my right to say that just like it is your right to bash her. I have always said I was just surprised at the harshness of comments sometimes. The true mean spirited stuff. It is really uncalled for. But, thats just me again, being naive! LOL!

Britney does not have the “magic” that she did a few years ago. This reminds me of some former child stars that were once really cute and talented and everyone gave them attention. Then they grow up and aren’t so cute anymore, people lose interest and then someone new takes their place. Unfortunately, that’s the nature of the business, and some can’t handle not being the star child anymore and they start making unwise choices and sometimes go down destructive paths. It’s like they don’t know HOW to live life without the attention they were brought up with. It’s sad and it’s unfair to put those kind of pressures on a child. It’s also wrong for parents to not teach their children self-esteem and prepare them for what can happen down the road.

I think the best thing for Britney would be to live a more quiet life for awhile. That means no photo shoots, interviews, publicity stunts, etc. Grow up a little and come back more mature. If privacy and respect is what she TRULY wants, then she needs to try harder to obtain that. Other celebrities are able to do it. She said that she wants to create a normal life for her baby. Putting him in magazines is not a normal life for a boy. Normal is going out and not having zillions of pictures being taken of you. It means climbing trees, catching bugs and playing Little League.

I truly would LOVE to see Britney take some time off to grow up. I think it would make her happier too. She said she doesn’t know why she’s here, so she should take some time off to find out! Maybe she’ll decide that showbiz is what she wants or maybe she’ll decide it’s not. I just hate to see her going down this destructive path. It’s getting to where it’s hard for her to gain the fan support she had before.

Remember the movie “Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?” I’d hate to see Britney, 80 years old has-been, bleach blonde hair, chewing gum, wearing a thong and singing “Oops! I Did it Again” at some club in Vegas.

God save us from “classy” people, tink. I for one am thrilled to see a few juicy posts on here instead of the usual fawning tripe, although there’s plenty of that.

I love hearing the latest about the babies and pregnancies of the rich and famous, but as for treating them like sacred beings, it’s nauseating. If they deserve a ribbing, they’ll get one.

Where is the rule that if you’re interested in celebrities then you have to lick their feet and say only nice things? I agree that a lot of sites go too far but this one is positively dripping with good will and earnestness, however ill-deserved. It also has as lot of good info so I’ll stick with it for now, but the self-righteousness here often makes it feel like I’ve stumbled onto the Stepford Wives forum.

Britney is a mess. Anyone with eyes and an IQ in the triple digits can see that without too much trouble. I apologize to the fans if they take issue with that, but it’s the way most of the planet sees it so you’ll have plenty opportunity to hone your “Britney is a poor, misunderstood waif and a wonderful mother” speeches.

Mouthy? Absolutely. Bring on the mouthiness, less of the mealy-mouthiness…

WOW! I am fairly new to this site and thought it was a venue to appreciate celebrities and their babies. I didn’t realize it was a collection of mean spirited people saying things like “faghag” and media whore”.

I guess the owners of the site were only kidding with the ground rules. The rules must only count when they don’t agree with the topic. Regardless of the decisions this celebrity has made, I’m just here to see the cute pictures of the babies and families. I think I have to clear a few points right now because I’ve been reading so many dumb articles since the Dateline interview. It’s not even funny… It just shows you how media will pick up all they can to bash on Britney. She was correct… That’s what she calls media attention, you know. I never heard her say during the interview that she wanted to just go away and not be seen at all anymore. She wants to DECIDE when she wants her media attention, just like she did with Harper’s Bazaar and OK! magazines. She wants the paparazzi and tabloids to just leave her alone and stop making up lies. The bad press is ruining her image. You see, if it wasn’t from all that trash they say about her, I doubt people would have such a bad opinion of her right now. It’s sad because whatever she does, people will never respect her for who she is. No, she doesn’t need the negative press at all.

I’m always wondering what the problem is. Just because she said she wanted her privacy doesn’t mean she doesn’t want to work anymore… She just wants to do her own thing. I don’t know what’s so hard to understand. A few years back, Britney was just the lovely down-to-earth Louisiana girl and everyone (general public, tabloids…) was so in love with the pop princess and never they would be so mean to her. But, the day they decided they had enough of her and they wanted to ruin yet another career, they started picking on her like crazy. Britney is brilliant, she won’t let herself go because of them. Only, it’s about time people just get over it all and stop the hating. Because if you look back, what wrong on earth has the girl done? Walking barefoot in a public restroom, making a rebellion and marrying her friend, finding a man she loves but whom others hate, deciding to have a family… Ok, now someone must tell me right now how this could hurt people so much that they would never get over it. What Britney does is what we all do, one day or another, because she’s just that. She’s human. There’re much worse things to worry about in this world then try to destroy’s a woman’s reputation. It just proves how superficial society is getting.

Just let her live her life. Just be preoccupied with what she does for the fans, not what she does for herself, in her private times or whatever. I just wish the media would understand that… Because whatever Britney does seems to be the news of the day, week… She decided to go for dark brown/black hair, and now that’s the topic of the moment, as if all the rest didn’t matter. Now stupid people (like at AOL) make a poll asking which celebrity looks worse with dark hair and of course Britney is winning. Not because she looks bad but just because it’s cool to hate on Britney Spears at the moment. She looks beautiful, she’s enjoying life. Just let her be.

It’s not hard… Focus on your own life and she’ll do just the same. Complaining on her outfits, her hair color, her skin, her habits, her mansion, her choices, her children, her husband… just won’t make you a happier person. At the end of the day, she’s still Britney Spears and you still are whoever you are. Of course that’s hard to understand. It’s hard for some to not be jealous or criticize someone who has it all like her. But if you really want it, just go for it, too, and stop complaining. I think when you bash on others so much it’s because you’re missing something… You don’t enjoy your life so you try to find problems in everyone else’s life. Do whatever you want with this… I just hope I could at least touch someone.

Society loves to have a media darling and a media witch. Briney is the current “witch” and Angelina is the current “darling”. I remember a few years back when it was just the opposite.

Y’know, I think a lot of people are just sick of the sight of her, wherever they see her. She seems to be famous for no reason at this point. A few years ago she put out a few awful manufactured bubblegum pop albums which tween girls loved (and inexplicably, a few adults). Unless you count singing through your nose lyrics that someone else wrote, not much talent was in evidence. The one comfort was that just like boy bands and other “teen sensations” she wouldn’t have a long shelf life.
Well her singing career mercifully didn’t, but here we are years later still having to watch her every move. I just wish she would go away, whether it’s the tabloids or dateline or wherever. She’s had way more attention than is necessary.

It seems to me that people here thinks that it’s more ok when Demi Moore, Pamela Anderson, Kate Moss and so on poses like this than when Britney does it. I think Brit looks great in these pictures. There is a big difference between these kinds of pictures and the ones snapped by nasty paparazzis.
