Britney Spears in OK! Magazine

Britney Boards has scans from the latest issue of OK! Magazine, which Britney did a photoshoot for about two weeks ago. She showcases her bump in a few photos, and did a short interview. Highlights include:

What do you think the advantages are of being a younger mom?
My mom was a young mom, and I’ve looked up to her. I just feel that it’s so important to instill so many good beliefs in your children. I think I’m younger doing that-I’ll have more energy in being able to bring up more positive kids than if I’m 40! But there are parents that are 40 that do a damn good job. I always wanted to be a young mom.

Do you know the sex of the baby yet?
We don’t know. I dont care, as long as it’s healthy. That’s all that matters.

Were you surprised how quickly you became pregnant after Sean Preston?
Yes, very surprised, but I was excited! I was a little scared at first becauseI was shocked because it was so soon. I was like, Its okay-I love boo boos!

Have you thought about how many kids you would like to have?
I could have three. If I did have three, I would wait a lot to have the next one.

How did Kevin react when he found out you were pregnant again?
He was a little shocked (laughs). He was like, Whatever you want to do, baby! He’s like, I’m excited for you! Let’s just go for it.

She also says this pregnancy is easier than her first.

I am afraid to see what comments are going be left..especially after reading the last comment where Britney says Kevin said, “Whatever you want to do, baby!” My children are 15 months apart..and I love having them that close…It is a personal preference…

Oh, Lord… *shakes head and leaves*

Too bad she didn’t look as good in the Dateline interview. Her clothes are much better – except the tops are about five sizes too small. But other than that – she looks kind of pretty.

- Patty on

Well, the only thing that jumped out at me as weirdly worded was the Kfed quote where he said “I’m excited for you” – as if it’s something only happening in her life and to her? Ah well…one can pick apart anything if one tries hard enough.

- Jennifer on

I hate to nit-pick, but since when do 24 year old moms do a better job than 40 year old moms at instilling “good beliefs” and raising their kids positively? I had my first child at 22 and my last one at 38 and they are all being raised with the same beliefs, morals and attitudes. Being both the “young mom” and the “older mom”, I see positive advantages to parenting at both ages.

- LaMama on

I think she did say older moms are good at being moms too. She just prefers being a young mom.

Regardless of anything she said in the interview, she looks fabulous! The pink dress is gorgeous on her.

I am a little less thrilled with KFed’s comments, but hey, I guess she loves the guy.

Brit, you look great!!!

- tink1217 on

I think she looks really good! That dress is very flattering on her.

Yes, I concur, her comment about how she feels she would be able to bring up “less positive” kids is a little weird too…as though she foresees her future as being less positive than her younger years? Hmm. I don’t know. I see her point about the energy factor being equated with youth, but the “positivity” thing seemed a little odd. Well, maybe she’s like a lot of people in thinking that an age 15 or 20 years into the future (or more!) sounds soooo old…I turned 30 last year and remember when that sounded old! Now that I’m at this age, my own perspective has changed…it’s all about one’s perception I suppose.

“How did Kevin react when he found out you were pregnant again?

okay umm….”lets go for it” isn’t it already to late to go back now?

*smh* (shaking my head)

Yeah, I won’t say anything about how she mentioned K-Fed. Nothing at all.

She looks…. better, I suppose. But, the hair is throwing me off. The white dress looked a little frumpy in a sense that she probably need a strapless bra, a snazzy bra that’d look good even if the staps showed. I doubt anyone would fault her for wearing one. It’s normal.

I’m done.

- FC on

I have to agree with the photoshopping statements!!! She looks likes the ‘old’ Britney in those photos, but then again, maybe THAT Britney didn’t actually exist??!!

- Dazzlar on

Yeah I’m thinking that too Dazzlar, that Britney’s freshfaced image in still shots owes much to Photoshop and other such photo editing programs.

Probably the real Britney anymore is more like the Matt Lauer interview than these pics from OK. (Unless she let the stylists help her with hair & makeup for the OK shoot, unlike the Lauer interview where she supposedly did her own hair & makeup?)

Anyway I’m glad she’s trying to get by. Her comments about motherhood are interesting, however I’m thinking that her opinions on the level of enthusiasm in young moms vs. older mothers are probably based upon how she thinks her own mother approaches situations now vs. how she did 20 years ago or so.

(Maybe Lynn isn’t trying to push Jamie-Lynn in some areas as much as she did Britney at that age, but imho that is called foresight not lack of good mothering skills. lol.)

- Autumn on

I do recall both Gwen and Angie having there boobs out wearing clothes with the same neckline. Why didn’t anyone say anything like this ? Hmm..double standard.

- Failissë on

Completley agree failisse.
