Are Tom and Katie already trying for baby #2?

Derek over at DerekHail.com sends us this link to the National Enquirer, which claims that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are so pleased with Suri that they’ve already decided to get started on the creation of a sibling. Says a source, "Katie was really scared of becoming a mom…She didn’t know what to expect and she was worried that she’d be overwhelmed by all the responsibilities. But she’s loving every minute of being home with Suri. Katie isn’t at all concerned with getting back to work." Apparently, she’s loving it so much that they’re hoping to have a pregnancy confirmed for friends and family by Fourth of July weekend. Of course, rumors about the couple surface almost daily, so who knows how true this is.

All I have to say about this is – I’d like to see your first kid together before you announce a pregnancy with a second!

I really hope that this is false. Her body needs time to rebound from her first pregnancy. Apparently 2 years between pregnancies is best for the mother and baby. Plus her milk supply would go out the window after awhile which isn’t good for Suri.

I rest my case. Tom is usually a really private guy, I only remember seeing one picture of Isabella as a baby, and both kids only when they’re toddlers. Granted, back then the paparazzi weren’t as resourceful as they are now. I want to see Suri! Especially now that she’s older and probably have grown out of the squished newborn look.

I think it would be great for them to have a second child but after some time has passed. I say wait until Suri is at least one yr or or two. And Katie’s body does need the time to adjust.I know Tom isnt getting any younger either. As for suri, I am anxious to see her too but this stuff about her not existing because we havent seen a photo of her is nonsense. Family and a couple friends have seen her already. Obviously Tom and Katie arent ready yet to go public with her so they arent talking.

It took a while before we saw baby violet, we’ll see Suri soon.

I don’t think Tom is a private person. I think it was Nicole Kidman who was keeping their children out of the limelight. Ever since their marriage ended you see Tom out with the kids a lot while Nicole still keeps her family life behind closed doors.

Yeah I agree they should ideally wait two to three years after the birth of Suri to have another child together, however sometimes some people do not wait very long between babies as in the cases of Britney Spears, Denise Richards, etc.

Still another Cruise-Holmes baby…I will believe it when I see it.

i would love to see a pic of suri too before another tomkitten comes along. but, nobody saw anything of Carrie Ann Moss children til recently. We don’t even know if they were boys or girls, although it looked like a boy to me in the pic.

Katie does need a bit of time to heal up from having Suri, but 2 yrs?? C’mon…if they want another, 6 months is fine to wait. Katie did not have a csection, right??? Now, if it was a csection, I would say wait a bit longer, maybe a year, year and a half. I thought Denise Richards went for #2 too quickly and so did Brit, but to each his own. Good luck to them anyway.

How is it anyone else’s business how long they wait to have another child? Two or three years? Give me a break. Some people want their children close together. It’s not that big of a deal. People get pregnant right away after giving birth all the time. Katie will be fine.

My son is 11 months old and we’ve already started trying for a second. Oh no, bad mommy alert!

There is a Canadian paper saying there is no actual baby at all suri doesn’t exsist….So like kimmyana says keep it in perspective..LOL

Tom said before Suri was born that we’d see pictures of her sometime. When? Who knows, but we will someday I’m sure.

As far as Tom being a private person – he is when it comes to his kids.

I also agree with the poster who says we’re not entitled to see pictures of Suri. It’s TomKat’s baby – not ours and therefore it’s their choice if, and when, they want to give out pictures. Until then, I’m going to enjoy not having them splashed on every magazine, TV program, etc.

Oh and as far as these jabs about Suri being fake, not Tom’s, etc. I don’t care who the parents are – it’s just plain childish, even if you decide to call it a joke. It used to be funny but now it’s just grown tired.

Tom is out and about w/ his kids all the time in the public….maybe not exploiting them but he’s still seen with them. And he talks about them all the time when interviewed so to say he’s a private person is a bit of an understatement.

Most people are just amazed that he was so in the public eye jabbing on and on and on about the baby way before it was hear….then he does wierd things that make people speculate and go hmm….to then have the baby and not one paparazzi has even caught a glimpse of the kid!!!

So like so many we find it strange…sure he has the right to privacy…but don’t exploit the child before she’s here and then expect people to sit back and not joke about it!

Certainly there most likely is a baby Suri…infact, I’m not that anxious to even see her. There baby never phased me one bit probably bc the two of them made me sick to my stomach everytime I saw them.

When photos do arrise I can’t say I’ll be as excited.

I think there is a difference between living your life, and exploiting your child. exploiting your child is is grabbing them and posing when you see a camera. i find tom lives his life. you ask a question about his children, he answers. he doesnt bring them up on his own. he controls his fame, he doesnt let his fame control him. i find it unfair that people expect him to tell his kids “you cant play sports, because paparazzi will show up at your kid”. it’s the price you pay, and as long as they’re respecful, what’s the big deal?

i find that TOO many celebs let the paparazzi run how they live their life, and that’s sad.

Yes Tom is seen with his kids all the time, mostly at their sporting games, you know like every normal parent. He just happens to be Tom Cruise so wherever he goes the press follows. Should he stop attending his children games because of the paparazzi? Other less high profile celebs live their lives, Tom ought to do the same.

And yes he was private, we saw few pics of Connor and Isabella until they were older. And lets not forget the paparazzi are more sophisticated today and more obsessed then 10 yrs ago. And Muff is right, we see many pictures of other parents doing everyday things with their children. I’ve seen many pictures of Pamela Anderson at her children games. And they arent entitled to show a picture of her at all if they dont want do.

And he never exploited their pregnancy, he just didnt shy away from being a happy soon to be father. Gasp, he actually answered questions about her when asked, imagine that.

I think its rude and narrow minded to think that just because you havent seen a picture of her yet that their baby doesnt exist. She was born at a hospital, I am sure the press went digging by now, its not that hard to dispute. Not to mention their families and friends, who will have to be in this grand conspiracy and a entire hospital, gave it a rest.

My only hope is that when she is finally seen that she’s still little and unlike the other babies, Suri’s features will be much more defined, so that would be great.

GIVE ME A BREAK!

In my opinion, all anyone on here is saying is that: A.) we would like to see pics of Suri. B.) we don’t feel that Tom has been shy about his love for Katie & happiness at becoming a dad, so where are the pics? That’s all, not a bid deal.

No one is saying that Suri doesn’t exist – IT’S A JOKE. Fine, so maybe it’s getting old & not that funny anymore, I’ll give you that. But please, I am not narrow minded or rude. I was talking in jest and I thought that was apparent.

Of course Tom & Katie don’t *have* to release any photos of her, but after how public they have been with their relationship & pregnancy, it’s just a bit surprising & disappointing that we haven’t seen any photos of her.

And before anyone jumps on me & says it’s the paparazzi that made it public. I disagree. Jumping on Oprah’s couch & those HUGE red carpet public displays of affection did nothing to help. It was like dangling a carrot in front of the media. I don’t know what the reasoning for it was? I’m not sure if it was publicity for MI3 or what? I don’t care. I just think that Tom & Katie use the media when it suits them and now suddenly they’ve gone quiet. I guess that’s their prerogative. But as I’m sure they have realized, the media attention it’s not something that you can turn on or off with a switch.

Perhaps photos of Suri will be released next time Tom has a film coming out? LOL

Thanks Erin, I just think a little objectivity is in order here. And joy you maybe joking but others are not and really do believe that since there isnt a picture then she doesnt exist. She’s a newborn, really how hard is it to keep her from the media, not that hard.

And the couch jumping thing is another one thats getting old, so he jumped on a couch. Are people going to be making excuses with that yrs from now? Did he committ some sort of crime, talk about overblown imo. Their pda happened over a yr ago too on the red carpet. With mi-3 it was a different story and Katie didnt even go to any premiere but the last one in LA. Since then I havent seen them do anything out of the ordinary other then be seen mostly at Tom’s children games.

And as for them using the media when it suits them, welcome to hollywood. You dont get where you are without using the press in some way.

Nicole put the kids in the limelight at the Academy Awards and pretty much all other ceremonies.
They made a shy debut on the red carpet earlier than the cast and their daddy. Nicole stroke a pose in marie claire in 2001 or 2002 with her son Connor, which is said to have upset Tom. We can understand, he said never nicole and he will “use” the Kennedy method back in the early 90s.
Nicole used Connor for her ‘coureagous single mother skills”, which should have been “struggling with my millions and my kids I never see because I work too much”.

I don’t care if they use the media. I don’t care if they don’t. I don’t care if they hide out or spend every moment in the public eye. I would just like to see Suri, that’s all.

I’m not saying they are doing anything wrong. I’m not criticizing Tom or Katie. I was offering up my opinion on a few things, but I was NOT bashing them.

As a fan, I would like to see their baby. That’s all this is about. The rest of the garbage about what they do and don’t do is really rather irrelevant to me. We’ve debated to death all that other stuff before. I’m just curious to see baby Suri.

I sure hope we will get to see her soon. If we don’t I will be disappointed, but I respect their decision. 8)

it’s always nice to see some take the “HIGHROAD” and call others imature for making a joke!
Geesh are we not aloud to make light of a situation?
We all know the baby is real! How pathedic would one be to fake a baby for publicity! I mean I don’t think any one would go that far would they?!
But to call others in the group to “grow Up” for making a light hearted comment geesh common!!!!
There has always got to be one or two or three that have to be the good consience around here? People are making light of it not like we are say their bad parents or the babies ugly or they suck.
And it’s not like everyone in the world has not had such thoughts all along.
Your right we know Tom or Kate do not owe the public any sort or picture or parade of there daughter.They are intitled to privacy.
I am sure the ladies and gents in this group are fully aware of it.Soemtimes I being to think we are not aloud to have opinions or jokes in here,I will make note of that.*no jokes* even harmless ribbings.

Not only have we seen pics of Shiloh before we have seen Suri, but it seems Angie has ventured out with her baby before Katie. WHERE IS SURI?! I am begining to think she dosn’t exist. Where the heck is this baby? she is almost 3 months old now and they have yet to let her out of the house. There is something fishy going on. :l

Tom was able to get Katie to the hospital, then back home with Katie and Suri, without being seen. I’m sure that baby has been places we havent even thought of!
