Shiloh Jolie-Pitt ignites hysteria for one Denver boutique
Already a household name at less than one month old, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt has already began her life as a fashionista, all the while igniting the notoriety of a small town boutique.
After Shiloh appeared on the cover of People magazine in a t-shirt from the Denver boutique Belly, the store has received overnight fame. Belly sent the $42 shirt and some maternity clothes to Angelina back in January. The shirt, which CBB featured last week, was designed by Kingsley Aarons, features the phrase "The Pots & Pans Band" printed in Gothic letters with pictures of pots and pans, as well as a skull and crossbone.
Belly employee Janci Clawson told the Rocky Mountain News that the purpose of sending the clothes was not to garner publicity. "Obviously, if she wore something of ours, that would be awesome," she said, "But it was more of a `thank you’ to Angelina for doing so much for women and children around the world."
However, shirt designer Kingsley Aaron disagrees, saying, "Everyone’s claiming that they’re responsible for sending them their `gift package’ because they want publicity."
Belly co-owner Janci Frisby says Angelina is not the first celebrity to receive gifts from the boutique. Others include celeb moms: Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Garner, and Gwen Stefani, none of which responded to the store’s generosity.
The store reprtedly has received so many orders that they are currently sold out of Shiloh’s shirt, but say more are on back order.
