Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder was invited to sing Take Me Out to the Ballgame and to throw out the first pitch at the Chicago Cubs game back on May 18th, and he brought his toddler daughter Olivia, 2, onto the field to help. Unfortunately, she was a little shy, so all we have is a photo of the back of her head! However, she’s sporting very cute pigtails and a Cubs shirt and hat.
After Eddie sang, he did a small interview with the announcer, where he talked about becoming a father and getting to Cubs games since she’s been born. Eddie said, "[Fatherhood] changes your life in all kinds of ways and it’s all positive. It seems like, looking back, not having kids was like a waste of time." The announcer then asks how many times he gets to Wrigley Field in a season, and Eddie replies, "Before I had our daughter…" and then laughs over his word choice, before finishing, "I was here quite a bit more often than I have lately. But I at least try to make it ten times a year."
