Who's the father of Anna Nicole's baby?

Annanicole1_1In the continuing saga of Anna Nicole Smith’s pregnancy, she keeps us on our toes by stating in a letter on her website that the father may not be who the media thinks it is. (That is, paparazzi photographer Larry Birkhead, who says he has seen ultrasounds and was told that he is going to be a father.)

Anna Nicole writes, "I haven’t said who the real father is yet. I will when I’m ready. But one of the guys who claims to be might be in for a big surprise. I know a lot more now than I did when I used to talk to him. And won’t the media feel foolish?"

She also tells us that we can look forward to another video diary next week. Maybe this time she’ll be out of the pool and we can actually see her belly. She’s supposedly 5 1/2 months along.

How sad that she has to use her pregnancy and the baby’s paternity to keep herself in the news!

Pathetic really…

I’m very happy for Anna Nicole =) She’s a little kooky/mixed-up but overall I think she’s a really sweet and great woman =)

Can’t wait to find out who the father is – I have a feeling it’s Howard. If is that’s even better – he seems like a great guy =)

crazy as she is, she seems to be a good mum with her first.

gargoylegurl, if she’s using this for publicity, she would’ve announce it earlier. it’s her prerogative not saying the baby’s paternity especially if they’re not in a relationship, like Geri Halliwell did.

Of course it’s her prerogative to not disclose who the father is, but in this particular case, I feel she is dangling a carrot, so to speak, in front of the media.

By making statements like “I haven’t said who the real father is yet. I will when I’m ready. But one of the guys who claims to be might be in for a big surprise. I know a lot more now than I did when I used to talk to him. And won’t the media feel foolish?” Well, in my opinion, that statement seems like an attempt to keep her pregnancy and the baby’s paternity in the headlines.

I don’t recall Geri Halliwell making inflammatory statements like that. On the contrary, Geri was very respectful and said that she didn’t feel it was fair to bring the father into the spotlight because he is not a famous person.

I also believe that one of the reasons Anna Nicole didn’t announce her pregnancy sooner is because she was enjoying the speculation. That in and of itself put her in the headlines. It actually created more attention. And I personally believe that was the point, just as I do with this whole paternity thing.
