See, Jennifer Garner gets it right where Britney Spears gets it wrong. Jennifer Garner has Violet’s head protected with a hat and Jennifer is actually HOLDING the baby carrier instead of one of Britney’s 10 nannies.

What was the point of mentioning Britney? She has nothing to do with this post. Not to mention, she has been holding Sean in nearly every picture I’ve seen of her the past few months.

As for Jennifer — she looks great. Although I think she probably needs to be looking into getting a new carseat – Violet’s almost too long for that one.

Girlfriend seriously needs a sling! Ben and Jen always look like they’re struggling with that carseat.
Can we please send her one?? :)

Jen reminds me of a typical suburban mom..she looks really comfortable in her own skin…I am so happy for her.

I have to agree…low blow to bring Britney into this thread, it ahs nothing to do with her.

Yeah, that really had nothing to do with the topic at all.

Karen, I believe companies have sent her slings and she just doesn’t use them. :( The baby I nanny for is that age and I use a sling or mei tai at all times – carrying around the carseat makes my arms burn!

Yeah, perhaps that Britney comment was a little unfair, but what I took it to mean was that Jen seems like such a “non-celeb” type of mom where as Britney is definitely more of a celebrity mother.

I have seen Brit carry Sean Preston plenty, but she is often photographed with her help in tow, and sometimes we do see pics of other people carrying Sean – I am NOT saying there is anything wrong with this!

Since Violet has been born, I can’t really recall any pics of anyone but Jen and Ben with her. It’s rare, if ever, that we see pics of them with nannies, etc.

In my opinion, they seem like two very famous people with two very different styles of handling the celebrity mom thing.

This is not a criticism to Jen or Brit, I like them both, it’s just my take on it. 8)

Violet has some very cute piggies! I cannot decide who she looks like most…she seems to have melded qualities from both of her parents.

^Yeah, I believe she’s a good mix of her parents as well. She’s as adorable as she wants to be, though. :)

I forgot one thing. She always seems like she’d be approachable, one of the most normal celeb mothers right now. I’m not knocking others, but she’s not all about glitz and glamor like some are.

I don’t know. I guess I feel like most can relate to her doing things on her own, like most other mothers usually do, and still have some family help on the side if you need it. :)

Looks like Violet is getting too tall for her infant seat. Head has to be more than an inch below the top of the shell. Hopefully they’ll move her into a convertible soon.

Jen & Ben always look so hands on which is nice to see.

Oh they probably have the next carseat ready to go, it’s just that Jen’s probably so practical that she’s no doubt reluctant to give up the current seat. lol!

When you say convertyible, do they make the carseats such that even ‘older babies’ (6mo – 1 yr) can ride backward too?

I know how some of you were making suggestions/comments when BS had her son in the backseat of her mini, however back years ago when a child outgrew their infant seat the next seat they went into was a forward facing only seat.

krewcat on

My daughter is in a convertable car seat, facing backwards right now and she is 2 and a half. my other children were rear facing until they were 3. So, yup there are seats that face backwards other than the infant carrier seats..:)
