Brad Pitt skips Cannes because of 'imminent' birth

Well, the rumors are right. Baby Jolie-Pitt is on the way, and soon! In the first statement from the couple since the buzz began over the weekend about Angelina‘s doctor arriving at their rented out resort for more frequent checkups, Brad Pitt sent his regards by email to the cast and crew of his film Babel, telling them he would be unable to join them at the Cannes Film Festival. He said, "With the imminent arrival of the newest addition to our family, I am unable to join Alejandro, Cate, Gael and the rest of the cast and crew introducing the film."

I wish so much attention wasn’t being paid to the physical aspect of the child. It’s really a sad commentary on our society especially when we know the parents of this baby could care less about any of that. I pray for nothing but a happy healthy son or daughter for the couple, and I know without a doubt this will be one amazingly loved addition to the Jolie-Pitt clan.
