US Olympic softball star Jennie Finch and Arizona Diamondbacks reliever husband Casey Daigle welcomed their first child on Thursday, May 4th. After a morning induction since mom was overdue, Ace Shane was born at 1:58 pm in Tucson, AZ, and weighed in at 8 lbs, 11 oz, and was 21 inches long.
Says Jennie, in her first journal entry as a mom, "Where do I begin? Casey and I are on cloud 9! You try to imagine [parenthood] but its not even close! I have been enjoying the true miracle of motherhood to the fullest extent. I’m so in love with my little guy, Ace…"
