Carnie Wilson and daughter Lola in People
Carnie Wilson, 38, is featured along with husband Rob and daughter Lola Sofia, 12 months, in People magazine this week. Some baby related highlights:
-Carnie and Rob are currently in rehearsals for baby number two. They hope to be pregnant by August.
-However, Carnie will be featured on the next installment of Celebrity Fit Club, which begins on July 30th. Why is she doing this? Carnie says, "Was I a perfect gastric-bypass patient? Yes. Was I a perfect gastric-bypass pregnant woman? No. I made a decision to enjoy my pregnancy…So sue me! But I’ve learned a lesson: Next time I’ll watch the carbs!" All in all, Carnie gained 70 lbs to hit 241 lbs during her pregnancy, which was twice what her doctor recommended for her. "My fat cells have a memory like Einstein! I’m proof that surgery is not a magic potion. There are many ways to sabotage it."
-She was embarrassed when paparazzi documented her post-baby pounds: "[But at the end, I thought] ‘You had a healthy pregnancy, there’s nothing to be ashamed of.’" Still, "she felt the world was judging her," says sister Wendy.
-Husband Rob speaks highly of Carnie as a mom – except for one thing – "She dotes a little too much. But it’s cute. Carnie is great as a mom. Lola has brought so much joy to our lives."
