Paul Wall and wife welcome baby boy

Paul Wall, a rapper and DJ, and his wife Crystal welcomed their first child, a boy named William Patrick Slayton, on April 18th.  The baby was a bit early, as he was not due until May 1st.

There have been rumors recently that the couple (who married in 2005) were heading for divorce, however, Paul confirmed that they are still together. "Me and my wife have been together a long time… Every trip has its bumps in the road. Our relationship is a journey. We’re not giving up anytime soon. We’re doing great."

In addition to his 2005 album The People’s Champ, Paul also made an appearance on the song Drive Slow, part of Kanye West’s album Late Registration.

Paul’s next album Get Money, Stay True will be released in September.
