Robert Carlyle welcomes third child

Actor Robert Carlyle, (The Full Monty, Angela’s Ashes) 44, and his wife Anastasia recently welcomed their third child, Pearce Joseph. He was born at Queen Mother’s Hospital in Glasgow, Scotland. Pearce’s middle name is in honor of Robert’s late father who passed on January 7th. A source said that "giving Pearce the middle name of Joseph is a beautiful and thoughtful thing for Bobby and Anastasia to do." The couple also have a daughter Ava, 3, and son Harvey, 2.

“Pearce’s middle name is in honor of his late father who passed on January 7th”

This part nearly gave me a heart attack. I’m hoping the wording is ambiguous and that it was Robert’s father who died rather than Robert (not that I’d wish for either to die – but you know what I mean). At first reading it sounds like Pearce was given his middle name for his Father, not his Grandfather.
