In a recent interview about her new film, Basic Instinct 2, actress Sharon Stone shared a few details about her life as a single mother.
About her two sons, 5-year-old Roan and 11-month-old Laird, Sharon said, "They’re really good kids. So far they don’t color on the walls… much."
Sharon, who is divorced from newspaper editor Phil Bronstein, is raising her boys alone and says she has no plans to rock the boat. "I’m not looking anymore," she says. "I’ve liked being a single mom. My life is much fuller."
The actress says childbirth simply wasn’t in the cards for her. "I’m 48, and I don’t have the partner who allows me to do that (have a baby), so I believe that adoption is God’s other big birth canal," Sharon said.
Neither are daughters in the cards for Miss Stone. The actress says she is "the mother of boys" and has no plans to have a little girl one day.
Sharon says motherhood has made her more alert and aware of the important things in life. "Anybody who gets you, has to get your kids. And if they don’t, it’s ‘See ya!’"
As for what kind of mother she is, Sharon says "I’m strict abut certain things and couldn’t care less about other things." One rule she doesn’t play about is back talk.
