Country singer Mindy McCready welcomed her first child, son Zander Ryan McCready, on Saturday March 25th. The baby weighed in at 6 lbs, 20 oz. No word on if father Billy McKnight was there or involved, especially after everything he and Mindy have been through this year.

Congrats to Mindy. I hope having Zander can help her turn her life around. I was a fan once–well, actually I guess I still am. She had some good music.
He weighed 6 lbs, 20 oz? Wouldn’t that be actually 7 lbs 4 oz? I thought 16 oz is a pound? Maybe it’s 20 inches– unless I’m off somewhere.
