James Broderick enjoys an Oscar winning film

03/27/2006 at 10:27 AM ET

1ellenreadingsundaytimes_1_1 Sarah Jessica Parker was shocked when son James Wilkie, 3, asked to see Brokeback Mountain. After James told SJP that he’d been "hearing a lot" about the film, the Sex and the City star made a decision. "I didn’t want to set up some idea about what’s bad because of the subject matter so we found an 18-minute segment he could watch," she said. Sarah said the next day James was hugging his nanny and wouldn’t let go saying, "That is like the two cowboys in Brokeback Mountain."

If these posts about Matt & SJP’s son James are true…I’d hate to mention what they’re insinuating about the little boy.

(esp. since they claimed he wanted to be called Ellen in January
and “Brokeback Mnt” now…)

i think he’s just being a kid. my brother used to wear make up and carry around a lacy red pillow everywhere he goes at that age. though they are already every gay boy’s dream parents. a broadway actor and a sex and the city actress? awesome.

"We weren't trying to have kids. We left it up to fate. I knew there was a possibility, but I was really excited. Even if you are trying, just to see a positive result is shocking!"
