Jayneoni's Oscar Boom Boom Room

03/23/2006 at 12:00 PM ET

Oscars_louis_lombardiCelebrity style insider Jayneoni knows how to throw a party like none other. On Friday, March 3rd, she hosted her second Boom Boom Room in honor of the Oscars at the Beverly Hills Hilton.  The event which benefited the Los Angeles Jenesse Center, the oldest domestic violence intervention program in South Los Angeles, was dedicated to everything a woman needs featured a display of couture Oscar gowns through history, stripper poles (said Jayneoni, “Vivica Fox told me, ‘I am there for the stripper pole!’”) and — Charmin.  “I don’t care who you are,” she says. “Everyone needs toilet tissue.”

Boom Boom Room is a bit of a misnomer as there were no drums in sight and there wasn’t “a” room… but rather, about fifteen of them… all filled with great products for the swanky Hollywood mom and baby.

Holly_robinson_peete_1Eve was found admiring Jessie Steels’ aprons while moms Holly Robinson Peete and Melissa Joan Hart (who brought son Mason Wilkerson) took time to get to know the baby products through out the lounge. Also seen enjoying and getting to know the products in the lounge were Josie Davis (Two and 1/2 Men and Charles in Charge!), Kimberly Elise (Close to Home, Diary of a Mad Black Woman), Cheryl Hines (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Louis “Edgar Stiles” Lombardi and his pregnant fiance, Vivica A. Fox, Ali Landry, and Tatyana Ali (Fresh Prince of Bel Air)… to name a few.

The event featured a Baby Swag Suite which included lots of fabulous baby/kid/maternity brands.  Fineries like none other were seen far and wide. Celebrities clamored at the Baby Suite for items like baby clothes by Pineapple Cove, to nursery rhyme concert tees by Crib Rock Couture (favored by Louis Lombardi and his fiance Mandy), to diaper bag “survival kits” by Baby Dish, to super stylish breastfeeding accessories by Milkdudz-not your mommaz nursing wear (fancied by Holly Robinson Peete).

Other celebs included Angela Bassett, Tia Carrere, Roger Cross, Vanessa L. Williams, Eve, Vivica Fox, Tichina Arnold, Carlos Ramirez, Danica McKellar (best known for The Wonder Years), Nicholle Tom, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Kelly Hu, and Efren Ramirez.

Other baby and kid brands at this event also included:

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
