Hockey player Miroslav Satan (pronounced "Shuh Tan"), #81 of The New York Islanders, and his wife Ingrid welcomed a baby boy on Thursday morning in Buffalo. Miroslav was present for the birth of Miroslav Jr. and made it back in time to help his team win their game against the Devils.
"We are all very happy," Miroslav said. "I didn’t get much sleep, but it was all worth it. I also wanted to get back to my team today and play, so everything worked out in the end."
Teammates are reportedly excited for the couple’s new arrival.
"Miro is a class guy who has played well for us all season," said teammate, defenseman Brent Sopel," It was great that he was part of a win tonight. We’re really happy for Miro and Ingrid."
