Australian swimmer and Olympics competitor, Michael Klim, 28, and his fiancee, Balinese Princess Lindy Rama, welcomed their first child, a daughter named Stella on January 27th, in Melbourne, Australia. Stella weighed 2.9kg at birth, and made her first public appearance at the Commonwealth Games trials a few weeks ago. Stella’s mum, Lindy is a niece of the King of Denpasar, and is therefore considered a princess in Bali.
Michael spoke to Australian magazine New Idea recently, some highlights include:
- "People tell you of the love a child brings, but you can’t begin to understand it until the baby arrives."
- "You feel an overwhelming, instantaneous love for the little person — it’s awesome."
Klum and Rama are planning on marrying in Melbourne, this April.
