Britney Spears turns her stupidity into a PR op

02/21/2006 at 12:11 PM ET

Britney Spears certainly has a good PR machine working for her.  In her exclusive People magazine interview in this week’s issue, she turns her Sean Preston-in-the-front-seat joy ride fiasco into a PR opportunity by using it to raise awareness of child safety issues.

Says Britters, "I love my baby more than anything, and as unfortunate an experience as this has been for me and my family, if it brings more attention to child safety then I fully support that."

Oh brother.

She’s suck a [insert expletive here] copout! I really don’t like how she’s still trying to take the blame off her. She was stupid and irresponsible and she can’t even take the blame like a grown woman.

Well, she’s not so grown now, is she?

Blah.

Oh, puhleeez. Surely she doesn’t think the public is that gullible. That would be like be getting a DUI with a baby on board and then saying you are promoting a campaign raising awareness to “Don’t Drink & Drive, Especially if you have a Baby on Board.” Desperation just isn’t making her look credible.

I’m just tired of her period. If I had one celeb I could make disappear it would be her!

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
