It’s kind of funny that they make a point of saying doctors were involved when he’s made such a big deal of scientology. I will say, they look happy. And, Katie looks beautiful.

I think the way he has his arm around her looks stiff and uncomfortable. Looks like it’s for show. But I agree katie looks beautiful.

what do you mean, Marie?? About doctors?? Scientology doesn’t frown on doctors, just drugs for certain things.like PPD!! LOL!! I think it is Christian Scientists that reject doctors and medicine.
They do look happy and Katie looks great! Pregnancy does seem to agree with her!

It’s interesting to see this pic because I just came from Imdb.com and they said that Tom went to Australia alone. I like her top; it seems as if she could wear it after the baby too.

I have to disagree – I think she looks tired and probably shouldn’t have made the trip at her stage of pregnancy. I especially don’t like her top – it’s too short. If her bump was showing it wouldn’t be so bad – but it looks like a pregnancy panel showing and I think it looks tacky.
In fact – except for a few formal occasions when she has looked good – I think her choice of casual wear looks sloppy at most time (on her coffee runs). She has so much money at her disposal – she could look great at all times. She doesn’t have anything to do but take care of herself and she always looks tired. What can she be doing now that she isn’t working? Maybe being a house frau isn’t her cup of tea.

Is she past 36 weeks already? I flew at 36 weeks with no qualms from my doctor.

pg—was it an international of 14+ hours, though?
does anyone know what the cuttoff is for international flying, when pregnant?
Maybe TomKat are planning to stay and have the baby in australia?

A good friend of mine flew from Tokyo to Chicago at 35 weeks, with her toddler in tow, by herself.

I’m a huge fan of CBB, and not a huge fan of TomKat, but I have to say that the decision to fly or not to fly is totally up to them and their doctor, and I’m not going to second guess it. The only reason that commercial airlines have a restriction on pregnant flying is because they don’t want the liability or the expense of a re-route if you go into labor on the plane (a re-route costs an airline in excess of $100,000). It isn’t because there is some medical effect from flying at that time in pregnancy. The one concern flying in pregnancy, blood clots, is there regardless of how many weeks you are. That’s why you should get up and walk around while flying. I flew at 37 1/2 weeks because my husband had the chance to take a job near my family, and we decided it would be better to be close to help before the birth. There were no problems.

That was actually a joke about the doctor.
I do agree that Katie looks tired, but she still looks beautiful for being so pregnant. When I was that far along I looked like I’d been dragged through the dirt.

I want to see belly pics…. Anyway I hope they have a healthy baby in any event.

I agree as a travel agent the airline restrictions are for liability reasons not the womens safety concerns. Also, I’m sure that Katie doesn’t exactly ride in a middle seat in coach. A long drive is just as bad as a long flight because the risk of clotting is higher in pregnant women and when sedentary, but that is throughout pregnancy not just the last few weeks.
