Brad and Angelina to name baby William?

01/16/2006 at 03:34 PM ET

Bradangelina We reported last week that Angelina Jolie, 30, and Brad Pitt, 42, are set to welcome their first child together sometime early next summer.  According to News of the World, a British tabloid, a family friend said that if their child is a boy, they will name him William.  Brad’s real name is William Bradley and his father’s name is William as well.  The source also states that "Angelina feels that such an all-American name is a true reflection of the rainbow family from all different backgrounds that she craves."

I think that is a wonderful idea if it’s true. William Jolie- Pitt is very nice!

Hmm, they’d name him William? Well, at least it’s not as unusual as most stars have done. ^_^ If this holds any truth at all, that is. ;)

If they really do name him William, he would be named after his dad (William BRADley Pitt) and his grandfather (Bill).

All-American name? Hmmm, William is of German origin. Silly source :o )

It is nice to hear a name that isn’t so “out there” too. I do like how the other children seemed to have been named to reflect their heritage.

As nice and normal as the name sounds I highly doubt it will be the name. This is a classic rumor…why? well bc anyone could make this prediction and say that the baby will be named after the father and grandfather. Just like the rumor could come out that they plan on naming the baby after angelina’s mother.

I think William (if true) would be sweet but wouldn’t go with the unusual yet unique names of Maddox and Zahara. I think it’s going to be a girl anyways. Maybe they can name her Willow or Willa ;)

I’m crossing my fingers that they have twins!

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
