Angelina and Brad are having a baby!

After much rumor and innuendo it’s official that Angelina Jolie is expecting her first biological child with Brad Pitt. Angelina has told an aid worker in the Dominican Republic, "Yes, I’m pregnant."  The pregnancy has been confirmed by representatives of both Angelina and Brad.

Brad recently adopted Angelina’s two children Maddox, 4 and Zahara, 1, and there was much speculation that his divorce from Jennifer Aniston was because he was ready for fatherhood. Angelina has also spoken publicly about extending her family.

The report says that Angelina is due this summer. Sarah’s note – I’m guessing late May/early June – she seems to already be around 5 months! Additionally, People has now confirmed that she is 5 months, while an ob/gyn on Access Hollywood says she’s closer to 6, placing her at 24 weeks along.

Yippee!!! I am so pulling for Brad and Angelina!! I loved Brad & Jen too, but apparantly it just wasn’t meant to be so YAY Brad & Angie!!! She is a great mommy and will be for the new one too!! This is going to be the Britney/Kevin baby story of 2006, as in everyone will be waiting to see everything about this pregnancy & baby!!!!

okay well we all suspected it and I guess I was in denial that it was true. I cannot see Angie pregnant but as a mother surely we all know she’s a very devoting one! wowzers is all I can say. Man I am in just total shock – well I wish them luck and oh man I cannot WAIT to see what this child looks like!!!

Well, I’m still not sure how I feel about how this relationship started, but at least they are both giving each other what they want / need.

Brad has clearly wanted biological children for a long time now, Angelina has always wanted more, and its nice to see. I wonder if they will have more biological or if they will continue adopting after this one? Or will they surprise me and stop at 3?

Has Jennifer or her representatives said anything yet?

I don’t know I still feel bad for Jennifer but at the same time we truly don’t know what took place in their personal lives. Maybe Jen’s happy for them. But it’s kind of wierd to think Brad and Angie are having a kid! Adopting is one thing but getting her knocked up is another!

I still think Angelina will continue to adopt. I think she has a passion for it and by having a biological child she is incorporating her rainbow of kids! Angelina’s going to have two babies on her hands cause Zahara will probably only be about 17-18 months old when the new baby comes. I know Brad was always outspoken about having daughters. I wonder what the sex is and if they will reveal it. Or I guess we’ll have to wait for Us weekly to report what color clothes angie was shopping for!

The child may or may not be beautiful. It has a lot to live up to which can be a burden. Gorgeous couples have been known to have rather plain children who are always compared to their parents which is rather sad.

I am not excited about this at all. As beautiful as the child is going to be (with parents like that, how could s/he be anything else), and as much as I hope for a healthy pregnancy and birth, I just think the way their whole relationship happened was…tacky. Does the sanctity of marriage mean anything to anyone these days?

The only thing that has bothered me about Angelina in general is her hypocrisy at times…I remember that she said in an interview with Ann Curry (when she was promoting Mr. and Mrs. Smith) that she wouldn’t be interested in someone else’s husband…and then she is clearly with Pitt. Yeah, ok, their relationship obviously began as a result of meeting on that movie set – but don’t say you weren’t attracted to someone else’s husband when it would seem you WERE. Don’t say that in the media at least!
At any rate, what do I know…I think it would be funny if they named the kid “Brangelina” just to mock everyone’s obsessive interest in them…

Well that’s going to be one potentially hot, genetically blessed child.

Anyway despite the controversy with the origin of Brad & Angelina’s relationship, as parents they’re going to have their hands full. With Zahara and the new baby being only maybe 18 months apart, raising both a toddler & an infant can’t be easy. I’m sure they’ll handle the challenge superbly, but still it’ll be a bit of a challenge. (Let’s just hope Brad doesn’t mind changing diapers. lol)

Well, now they have a “prop” of their very own! And, I don’t necessarily think it will be genetically blessed. I mean her lips and his lips…it could end up looking like a rendition of Angelinas cartoon character in a Shark Tale.

What I would love is for her to breastfeed and talk about it publicly. After having been to these 3rd world countries and seeing the importance of it, it would just be such a boost to see her do it! Maybe she’ll even nurse her next adopted child! I have such hopes for this.
