Tracey Edmonds, the wife of singer/ producer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds has officially filed for divorce.
Tracey filed the paperwork with the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce.
The couple announced their separation in October of 2005, saying that they had already been separated for quite awhile.
"It is with deep regret that we announce our permanent separation. We remain best friends," the couple said in a joint statement.
The two, who have two children together, sons Brandon,9, and Dylan, 4, will carry on with their joint production company. Past projects by the duo include, Soul Food and Hav Plenty.
Tracey is seeking full custody of the boys with visitation rights for Babyface.
