        &lt;p&gt;I am from New Zealand.  I am not a Maori but I still buried my children&#039;s placentas and planted a tree for them.  I had my last child&#039;s placenta in the freezer for about 6 months until our new home was built before I buried it. My brother thought it was disgusting....lol.&lt;/p&gt;
