Name of Barker baby revealed

Travis and Shanna Moakler Barker have revealed the name they’ve chosen for their daughter, who is due in three weeks. The couple have picked the name Alabama because, says Shanna, it is the name of a character in their favorite movie, True Romance. Interestingly enough, the character Alabama is none other than a hooker!

This is not the first celebrity baby named Alabama – soap star Brian Gaskill welcomed Alabama Zoe in September.

She looks beautiful in that photo! I kind of like the name. I don’t like the fact that everyone is using it lately though. I like it when parents put an original name on their children’s birth certificates, and Alabama is certainly original. Congrats to them and their Alabama to be.

Another little girl named Alabama? I guess I don’t see the significance of naming a baby that. I can see a girl being named Georgia or something like that but Alabama? Oh well. She can always go by Ally/Allie/Alie/etc. if she wanted.

But I am still excited to see their new daughter.
