Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey call it quits

After months of speculation by the media, The Newlyweds stars Jessica Simpson and hubby of three years Nick Lachey have  officially split.

The couple released a joint statement Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, through their publicists Meredith O’Sullivan and Rob Shooter.

"After three years of marriage, and careful thought and consideration, we have decided to part ways," Jessica and Nick said in an official statement.

"This is the mutual decision of two people with an enormous amount of respect and admiration for each other. We hope that you respect our privacy during this difficult time."

The couple were married in three years ago in October.  It was highly publicized that Jessica was saving herself for her wedding night.  The couple later became famous as America’s favorite newlyweds.

There has been no official word on what caused the split, but rumors of infidelity on both parts have surfaced, as well as jealousy over success.

I think maybe the media was putting to much pressure on the two of them. All the rumors swirling around and everything, maybe they just started to believe them whether they were true or not. Maybe Nick started to believe all the infidelity rumors about Jessica when he analyzed her relationships with the rumored people. Its just so sad that people in hollywood are broken up from their loved ones.

I really liked them together too, they seemed so sweet. Ive also heard rumors that she is six weeks pregnant. But we all know that we’ve heard those before, so who knows.
