Gabrielle Union and football hubby split

Actress Gabrielle Union , know for her role in films like The Honeymooners and Deliver Us from Eva and her husband of four years, former Jacksonville Jaguars running back Chris Howard, have called it quits. The couple, who met at a party in 1999, have been married for four years.

"The couple remains close and asks that you respect their privacy at this difficult time," Gabrielle’ s publicist Lisa Kussell said in a statement.

Gabrielle currently stars on the new ABC drama, Night Stalker, also starring Charlize Theron’s boyfriend Stuart Townsend.  She and Chris do not have children.
