Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams' daughter has arrived

Actors Heath Ledger, 26, and Michelle Williams, 25, welcomed a daughter in New York City on Friday night around 5 pm. Matilda Rose Ledger weighed in 6 lbs, 5 oz, and was 19 inches long, according to a friend of Heath’s sister.

LOVE IT! What a great name – I’ve always loved the traditional Aussie song “Waltzing Matilda!” My father used to sing that to me when I was a little girl and “Matilda” was one of his “pet” names for me. My sister’s middle name is “Rose” and she was named back when the name was not very popular, so she never wanted anyone to know her middle name. Now, her middle name is very popular and she’s grown to love it as an adult. Congratulations to the Williams-Ledger Family!

When was she actually due? I thought the baby had come pretty much on time? I’ve noticed that if their first child is a girl, a lot of women give the baby the same first initial as themselves! That includes me, I’m Jemma and my daughter is Jaya! Michelle isn’t tall herself so the baby must be taking after her by being little.
