Brooke Shields pregnant with second child!

Actress Brooke Shields, 40, and her husband Chris Henchy are expecting their second child together this spring! Their daughter Rowan is 2 1/2. We previously posted a rumor which said she would be adopting next – that has obviously been proven to be untrue. Brooke has become a spokeswoman for postpartum depression over the last year, after writing a book on her experiences with it after the emergency c-section birth of daughter Rowan in 2003. Let’s hope PPD was a one time experience for Brooke. Wonder if this baby will also be a little redhead?

Oh, how WONDERFUL!!:-) Our daughters are nearly the same age, and we are hoping for number two as well! Rowan is just precious…and I hope that she remains a strong advocate for PPD…I never had anything like it, but can only imagine what it must be like. Pish tosh, Tom Cruise:-(

I really hope she has an easier post partum time, this time around. I’ve always liked her and I still do. I was so excited when I read it on Entertainment Tonight’s website that she was pregnant again. Jen.

That is wonderful news! I’m praying that she doesn’t experience PPD again. But, if she does, she will be prepared and will know how to head it off before it gets bad again. She is a strong woman and I wish her and her little family all the best.

Congrats to them. I hope she has a really easy time this time. I’m so happy she is the spokesperson for PPD she has helped alot of people. I think it’s great that she’s having another baby and I wish the very best to her.

Wonderful!! If Brooke does have PPD again, she is a strong woman who will prevail again. Keep advocating, Brooke, women need to know their options and that they aren’t alone. I hope it’s a boy.

Yeah! It so nice to see a happy, committed couple expanding their family. I can’t wait to see if its another gorgeous mini-Chris like Rowan or a mini-Brooke.
