Page Six reports this morning that Court TV’s Ashleigh Banfield and her husband, Howard Gould, have welcomed a son named Jay Fischer. He was born on Saturday and weighed in at 6 lbs, 4 oz, his low weight attributed to the fact that he was four weeks early.

Congrats to Ashleigh & husband – but a side question – since when is 6lbs 4oz a low birth weight? I was 5-11 @ 3 weeks early, my brothers (twins) were 4-11 and 5-1 @ 2 weeks early…..I think 6-4 is a perfectly healthy birthweight even for a full-term baby….imagine how big he would have been if he had baked another 4 weeks 
about a pound a week right? Or something like that Ok off my soapbox now, and congrats to them again….
