Last Dutch bachelor Prince marries!

10/22/2005 at 12:53 AM ET

Prince Floris, Queen Beatrix of the Netherland’s nephew, has married Aimée Söhngen in a civil ceremony. Floris was the last single prince from the Dutch Royal House of Oranje Nassau to get married. In a delightful show of patriotism the bride opted against a flowing white wedding dress in favor of an orange dress, cropped jacket and matching pill-box hat, with her new husband matching his tie with her color of choice. Floris opted against asking Parliament permission to marry, following his brother Pieter-Christiaan who married earlier this year, which means that he gives up his right to the throne and is effectively no longer a member of the royal family.

Hello! has photos of the wedding and guests.
