Add8e80c_1UPDATE: Mary and her husband Prince Frederick welcomed a son at 1:57 am on October 15th. Mother and baby are both doing fine, and his name is expected to be announced at his christening in the coming months, but it is expected to be Christian, as tradition dating back to 1559 follows the alternation of Kings Frederick (the name of the current Crown Prince) and Christian.

Early reports reveal that Denmark’s Princess Mary has been admitted into the maternity wing of Copenhagen’s university hospital. Mary is expecting her first child with husband Prince Frederick. No news has yet been announced about the birth, despite rumors that Mary has already given birth. The palace has been very quiet about the impending birth for the entire pregnancy, and there is no news on whether the royal couple are expecting a boy or girl.
