Denise Richards on Ellen today
Ellen: How is Sam treating, what’s her name, the new baby?
Ellen: Lola, how is Sam enjoying Lola?
Denise: She’s good. I think at first she thought she wasn’t going to be here very long and now has realized she’s staying…
Ellen: She’s living there
Denise: She’s living there now. But she’s sweet,
She’ll go up and kiss her and then out of nowhere she’ll smack her on the head and Sam’s only 18 months so it’s really hard to reason with an 18 month old.
Ellen: She obviously is not left alone to babysit her. Didn’t she know a little sister was coming? Was she excited at all to have that?
D: They’re 15 months apart… I got pregnant right away…
Ellen: Yeah, why’d you do that?

Denise: You know what’s funny, we thought it would be really easy because at the time, Sam wasn’t even crawling, she just laid in a basket and we thought this can’t be too hard and then
during my pregnancy Sam started…
Ellen: You had been told that they start walking after the crawling?
Denise: Yeah we didn’t believe it (laughing)
And then she started walking and we thought oh great, this is a little soon.
Ellen: Yeah really cos now she’s probably at that age age where she’s grabbing everything. And now you’ve got the new baby… Well that’s why you look like that.
Ellen: I don’t know how you could keep up with them.
Denise: I don’t know either. I don’t have a choice.
Ellen: Is [Charlie] he a good dad?
Denise: He’s a great dad. He’s very good. He loves feeding and changing and all that. The only thing is that…
Ellen: He loves changing?
Denise: Well, alright, he changes the diapers. He’s not like ‘woo hoo’ let’s change a diaper. But he has this thing with his Gatorade where Sam wants always wants a sip of his Gatorade and I’m much better at saying, ‘no, she can’t have everything that she asks for’…
Ellen: Sam’s drinking Gatorade?
Denise: When I’m not around or not looking. So I have a thing with that.
Ellen: Well, she’ll never be dehydrated.
When Ellen asked her if they were back together, all Denise would say was "It does seem like we’re together. Right now we’re focusing on the kids. I don’t know what else to say."
Ellen said that she thought Charlie apologized when he was on David Letterman but Denise said he just said he was a "gigantic ass… I’m still waiting for the public apology." Ellen suggested that they book him on her show to apologize.
At the end of the segment, to help with the lack of sleep from taking care of the babies and the long hours on her new TV show, "Sex, Love & Secrets," Ellen gifted her with Ellen eyemask, Ellen hot water bottle, Bose noise reduction headphones, and the Ellen gin (Bombay Sapphire).
