Pop star Britney Spears  is said to be battling with her husband, dancer Kevin Federline, over her beloved pooches.  Kevin seems to think that the dog may grow jealous and maybe even aggressive with their infant son.

"Kevin has tried to talk Britney into getting rid of her little dogs since the baby was born, " says a family insider.

Britney currently has two dogs, Bit Bit and Lacy.  Kevin reportedly convinced Britney into getting rid of her third dog, a chihuahua named Lucky, in May after the dog snapped at him.

"The dogs are very protective of Britney, especially Bit Bit, and Kevin doesn’t want them aorund the baby, " the source added.

Note From Nisha: The article included a sidebar saying that Kevin’s mom, Julie Bleak, has yet to meet her new grandson.  She is said to be heading to to California from Pendleton, OR to visit Kevin and her grand-kids (Kori, Kaleb, and Sean Preston) on Oct. 15.

I hope Kevins mom didnt have to wait to fly from Oregon due to financial restraints in buying a plane ticket. ! The thought upsets me. You would think Britney would send her one 1st class! Why else then would she not see the baby sooner???????? Work? Sick relative? I wonder.

I don’t know the reason for his mother just now seeing S-P, but I also hope it isn’t some stupid money reason. Kevin and Brit–sorry, Brit has enough money to get her mother in law to town in no time at all.

LOL at getting rid of the “big dog”. I second that!!!!

Maybe Kevin’s mom doesn’t want to get attached to the baby with his track record of making babies and walking?

Landroverdisco, exactly what I was thinking! They say animals can sense evil. Lucky bit Kevin! LOL!!! Don’t throw out the wrong dog, Brit!
