Country singer Mindy McCready, known for her hit "Guys Do It All the Time," was forced to admit the reason she attempted suicide in July. "I attempted to commit suicide after I found out I was pregnant," she said in court on Monday.
The 28 year old singer was found unconscious in a Florida hotel lobby on July 22, after overdosing on illegally obtained OxyContin painkillers. Mindy said she traveled to Pinellas County, Florida to be with family, after being placed on probation for a drunk driving arrest and being beaten by her boyfriend.
"I had just been through a horrible ordeal," she said in court. "I was going to visit family." Authorities said she has since been experiencing medical complications from the pregnancy, but there has been no word on her plans for the pregnancy or baby.
Danielle adds: Mindy was was jailed in Clearwater, FL, on August 26th, after Pinellas County authorities arrested her because she allegedly left Tennessee without telling her parole officer and did not report to her officer in July. She was on probation after pleading guilty to fraudulently obtaining the prescription drug, OxyContin, last year.
