Thanks also to Kirrily.

When Angelina Jolie adopted daughter Zahara at six months old, she was very small for her age. Fortunately, she has gained so much weight that Angelina’s new nickname for her is "Chubby." Angelina described the girl’s malnourished state when she first adopted her in Africa as "terrifying."

Now, Zahara is a happy and healthy baby girl. In an interview with Good Morning America, Angelina said: "When we brought her home she was six months old and not nine pounds. Her skin, you could squeeze it, it stuck together! It was terrifying. Just to see the difference what food and the right kind of – just a little bit of care takes She’s has gained six pounds We are calling her chubby She’s just a totally different baby."

Angelina also discussed Maddox’s reaction to Zahara, saying that he is enjoying being a big brother. "He came to the orphanage. He saw where she was living, and he saw she needed care. Kids understand sadness and poverty and hunger."

It’s always nice to hear about Zahara’s health improving. I think I heard this piece somewhere else, but I don’t mind reading about it again. ♥

It’s so cute to see pictures (not on here, but this made me go look one up) of Zahara and see how healthy she looks now. She’s gorgeous! She’s so lucky to have Angie and Mad, and Angie and Mad are so lucky to have her! What a great family!

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
