Our affiliate Dimples & Dandelions has just introduced a new department on their site, Designer Rooms. Categories include everything you need to furnish baby’s room- furniture, room decor, bedding, lighting and frames. Their style is whimsical and funky- not what you’ll find in a department or chain store.
Some of the new brands they are carrying in the Designer Rooms department include Ribbit-Ribbit Frames, Maura Daniel Lighting, furniture by Bratt Decor, Sweet Beginnings and Martinek Bebe Furniture. Their bedding category will carry Serena and Lily, Enchanted Baby, New Arrivals and Martinek Bedding.
We ordered furniture for my baby’s room through them. I am really looking forward to putting my baby to sleep in her new Bratt Decor Dick Crib and changing her on top of the Changing Table/Dresser. Bratt Decor carries a few lines- Dick is supposed to be their boy’s line but can be used for either, while Jane is definitely their girl’s line. My husband and I were going to go with a Jenny Lind-style crib- which has spindles instead of slats, but weren’t thrilled with any we saw. For example, we looked at Pottery Barn’s spindle crib but it was $600 and sort of light-weight and flimsy (the brand is Million Dollar Baby). Babystyle has a spindle crib too, and it’s only $240 but it too is very light-weight. We looked at the Bratt Decor crib, which is not a spindle crib, and were very impressed by the weight of the crib and hidden hardware. At the same price of the Pottery Barn Kids crib, the choice was clear. Additionally, while other nursery furniture companies take up to 12 weeks to deliver, Bratt Decor ship in 4-6 weeks and Dimples & Dandelions ships all furniture for free!
