Gwyneth declares war on paparazzi

Gwyneth Paltrow has declared war on the paparazzi because she feels her daughter, Apple, is in danger. "If I have my daughter in the car and they are making me nervous, I’ll do whatever I have to do…I keep a whole log. I take pictures of their cars, write down license plate numbers, everything. If they do it again, I can go to the police. I know my rights, and believe me, I will have them arrested. I will stop at nothing."

Good for her! As much as I love seeing pics of celebs and their babies, I hate to see them hurt or made uncomfortable. With fame comes media interest, but then it threatens your life and the lives of your family members, that’s overboard.

It seems like lately the paparazzi has gone nuts with cars. Causing accidents and stalking stars from one spot to another. It’s terrible.

Definitely good for her! It is nice to see her being so proactive, it is just too bad she has to worry about it at all. Sometimes the paparazzi definitely goes too far. We really don’t want another Princess Diana situation.

I am glad she is doing this. The paparazzi make me sick. What a horrible way to live your life.

no offense, but we are part of the reason, myself included, as to why the paparazzi are going a little crazy. our celebrity obsessed culture ensures that the paparazzi make tons of money getting pictures of celebrities, that if we the public didn’t buy, would be worthless. i agree that that doesn’t justify their insane behaviour, but we are a little responsible too.

in regards to gwyneth, clearly she wants to be protective of her daughter, like any of us would. however, she does seem to like to have it both ways. wasn’t it just in the last few days that gwyneth was walking down the street grinning like a cat for photographers with apple walking and then again on another day strolling her around with balloons??? she knows that the paparazzi are taking pictures and she makes it easy, lets them take the pictures because it’s on her terms, when she wants.

all of this to say that nothing is black and white people.

I think there’s a difference between stalking someone for a photo while they are in their car and photographing them while they are on the street. I think Gwyneth is ok with being photographed while out and about but following someone in a car is stalky and dangerous.

i agree 100% about the difference between chasing a celebrity in a car and taking their pic on the street. however, i don’t agree with what you say about gwyneth. how many times have we seen photos of her and apple where she’s pulling a face, covering her daughter’s face? there have been tons of negative comments about her covering apple’s face. basically, all i’m saying is that the paparazzi don’t seem to be able to make the distinction between acceptable and unacceptable behavior. therefore, the best way to protect your children is to not “play” with them at all. there are many huge stars who have children that we don’t see because they don’t make it possible.
