In a nod to the fashion trends we’ve seen among expectant moms in Hollywood, The Grand Rapids Press reports today on the role this has played in the transformation of maternity wear. Demi Moore’s covershot for Vanity Fair (in which she posed naked during her pregnancy) is often seen as a major turning point in how pregnant celebrities viewed themselves. Recently, Kate Hudson and Denise Richards have both appeared on the red carpet in gowns that showed off their bumps, expectant mom Britney Spears has been spotted frequently in her trademark low-riding pants and halter tops, and Heidi Klum has been photographed in gorgeous dresses tailored perfectly to accentuate her pregnancy curves.
