National Enquirer reporting that Demi Moore has had a miscarriage

Please don’t jump down my throat for reporting this – as it appeared in National Enquirer, the least reliable of all tabloids, I seriously doubt its veracity, but thought it warranted a mention and that’s why I am categorizing it as a "rumor" and nothing else.

According to the National Enquirer, Demi Moore has suffered a miscarriage in her fifth month.  An unnamed source is quoted as saying, "Demi thought she miscarried because of her age — but a doctor said that was absolutely not the case."  According to an "insider," "Demi developed a problem with her placenta during her fifth month of pregnancy, and she miscarried and lost the baby.  It’s rare for problems like this to occur in the second trimester, but it’s not without precedent. She was crushed at losing the little baby she wanted so much."

This could explain why Demi has been seen until very recently wearing baggy clothes and hiding behind large purses.  This could also explain why she and Ashton never announced a pregnancy to begin with- for fear that an age-related or other complication like this might happen.  This could also explain why she was most recently photographed looking extremely svelte.

If the rumor is true, it’s awful and I feel very sad for the couple.  If the rumor is not true, I feel bad that it is being reported as such.

I sincerely hope its not true because a miscarriage in the 5th month is terrible. I have 2 friends who had them that far along and its basically going into labor and delvering a stillborn baby. A miscarriage at any time is devastating, but the further along you are the harder it is on your body and soul. If its true I am so sad for her and Ashton. I really hope its not true and if not true, the stupid tabloids should be ashamed!!

I saw this story some where else as well. It’s just as sad the second time it’s read. I wish them them the best at this devistating time in their lives.

I hope this isn’t true but I read a story about Demi’s photo shoot for the Versace ads in either Hello mag or Ok that said she was desperate to hide her belly so she asked them to air brush the photo and give her a body like Kate Moss. In the end her head was photoshopped onto the body of a model.
