Violet Affleck?

07/22/2005 at 11:26 AM ET

According to a posting on Oh No They Didn’t, thirdhand information says that the Garner-Affleck baby is a girl to be named Violet. This rumor comes from Alias co-star Victor Garber, who had lunch with a friend of a family member of the ONTD poster. He also talked about getting his license to marry Jen and Ben on Parrot Cay. So, don’t know how true this is, but as long as you don’t take it as fact, I think it’s a good little piece of gossip. :D

I like it, but I’ll guess we’ll have to wait & see.

I like the name Violet by itself because I think it is a sweet little name but I don’t like it combined with Affleck. It then sounds more like a condition. Like a severe allergic reaction might be a Violent Affleck.

“Oh dear, she had a violent affleck after eating the seafood.”

Lol! Yeah, I suppose it sounds conditional when paired with the last name. I like “Violet”, it’s very old-fashioned. It also reminds me of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory– “Violet, you’re turning VIOLET.” :)

Violet Affleck sounds oddly like Violent Attack!

Laurie-Ann on

It depends on the middle name, I guess.

I went to grad school with a woman named
Violet. She had a beautiful last name and
they sounded good together. The name Garner
would sound o.k. after Violet.

When I hear the name I think of the character in Charlie Brown.

I agree. I like the name but it souds sort of interesting paired with the name Affleck.

I really like it actually…

Violet’s ok I guess but there are other flower names I like much better. How about Lily Affleck?
