Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher have allegedly purchased baby furniture

07/20/2005 at 04:32 PM ET

At the Green Power Baby Shower at Santa Monica, CA’s Fairmont Miramar Hotel that Demi, Ashton and her daughter Rumer  attended on June 26th, they allegedly placed an order for a crib and dresser from Earth Friendly Interior Design’s Suite Baby line.   I was not able to find photos of the items they ordered on the company’s website but the July 11 issue of Star pictured the dark wood $8,500 crib and $8,000 dresser that are finished with a non-toxic varnish.

Earth Friendly’s co-founder Alison K. Pollack told Star, "Demi and Ashton were oohing and ahhing over [the furniture]" but did not necessarily say they actually ordered the items.  According to one of Star’s sources, "Ashton and Demi seem to know which crib they wanted right away."  Demi and Ashton’s friends Soleil Moon Frye and her husband Jason Goldberg (who co-created Punk’d with Ashton) are also customers of Earth Friendly.

While I was happy to read that the "are they or aren’t they" couple were told that they would have to wait 12 weeks for the furniture just like everyone else (this is the lead time for most baby furniture), I have a feeling someone else’s order is going to end up going to them!

I still don’t think she is. Wasn’t that a charity event and the $$ was used for that purpose?? It wasn’t just to buy baby furniture, per say?? Not positive, but I thought I read that somewhere. AND, if they have friends that are pregnant maybe it was a gift for someone. I just don’t see Ashton as a daddy yet.

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
