A girl for former MTV VJ

The lovely Perez sends us the news that Kennedy, who you may remember as the crazy MTV VJ on the channel in the mid-90′s, is a new mom. Kennedy welcomed daughter Pele Valentina on July 1st. Dad is Dave Lee, her husband of five years. It’s definitely an interesting name-although I don’t think I’d expect anything less from Kennedy!

i am fairly certain kennedy lives in seattle and has a husband or serious boyfriend…but pretty sure it is a husband.

Perhaps, Kennedy is a Tori Amos fan. Tori’s third album was entitled “Boys for Pele”.

The hawaiian meaning of the name is ‘ molten lava” or the name of the Hwaiian Goddes of the volcano… in Lithuanian, Pele means “mouse”. yay, Kennedy… cool name. I think it would be neat to see her with a baby ;o)

That is awsome. I have been a big fan of Kennedy for years, yet I never knew she was in a serious relationship much less thought about having kids. Either way I think she will make a fantastic mom.

I saw on one of the news shows like Inside Edition or Extra an interview with her, she had a daughter and was visibly pregnant. This has got to be her third baby.

Pele is also the name of a huge soccer star.

Heather, do you think that maybe that was Tabitha Soren (another VJ at that time)? I know she has two or three kids. I was under the impression that this is Kennedy’s first.

I want to think that a couple years back Kennedy was a co-host on The View and she was getting married to a pro-skateboarder. And I may be wrong on this but I want to remember hearing he was from South America. So there could be the reason for Pele…

My boyfriend’s daughter is named Valentina, and it’s latin. but I’ve never heard of Pele, it’s exotic though.
