that is the cutest picture! i’m sitting here watching Live 8 and i thought it would be cute if Apple were there. because even tho she won’t remember, there will be pictures showing that she was there for this awesome event!
I love rockstar babies!

- Nico on

Are they head phones or a protective ear covering, a friend of mine bought something that looked like that because her baby was 9 months old and she didn’t want her hearing damaged at an air show…

- Lore on

They’re an ear covering. I just call them headphones, I thought that was the name!

- Sarah, CBB Editor on

she is so cute sucking on her thumb

- rose on

Now this is cute. Cute baby and mom!

- Amy on

yea the ear covers are really cute, they’re like the size of her head! i remember seeing a behind the scenes show for no doubt when the drummer adrian young brought his new son to one of their shows he was wearing ear phones like that. so adorable…

- Nico on

I bought a pair of those for my 2 yr old and took her to see Motley Crue, she did great..we tried them on a few times before to get her used to them. Apple is a cutie.

- Patricia on

She’s adorable! And she looks so much like Chris (although I am starting to see more of Gwyneth in her).

- Shawna on

I just had to add, I love those SHOES! plus the pink headphones are so adorable. :)

- heather on

she is adorable!!!

- michelle anne on

duh, I mean ear covering I know what they are.. lol

- heather on

I am so drawn to Apple and Gwyneth for some reason because Apple is four months to the day younger than my niece. And when my niece does something my sister and I always think, “Hmm I wonder is Apple is doing that.” And might I just add my niece is just as well a dresser and my sister is a brunette version of Gwyn – even though people always tell her she looks like Juila Roberts-I prefer Gwyn. I’m not going to tell what people think I look like. AND my sister got a Bugaboo from her husband’s boss before we know that they were like the Mercedes of strollers. Anyway I just adore the Martin family. I am so happy for them!

- yogagirl5117 on

what is live 8? Apple is probably used to wearing those if she watches dad practice.

- jenn on

Look at her shoes! They look like little pumas. haha!

- jenn on

How sweet is that?! I love seeing Apple also because she is just three months younger than my son. So Gwyneth and I became first time moms at about the same time. Her watching her Daddy perform is just precious.

- Amy on

How weird! The very minute I ended typing my post, I heard Coldplay on TV on the Live 8 special and ran in to see Apple and Gwyneth on screen! Crazy! Apple sucking her thumb watching the concert is the cutest thing ever! My son sucks his thumb too and I have a soft spot for it! :)

- Amy on

sweet

- Shelley on

So cute!
And her dad gave a beautiful performance!

- Marrit on

Too cute.

- Monica on

I love seeing pictures of Apple and her mom. They both seem so relaxed. Apple is so cute. I love her shoes. It seems like Gwyneth spends alot of time with Apple. That is great.

- Elizabeth on

wow that’s so cute. I went to live 8 today in philly and boy was it loud! I can’t imagine what it’s like for a baby good things she’s got them headphones on!

- joy on

Does gwyneth travel alot to see her husband play? Does she take Apple with her most of the time?

- Elizabeth on

I have a question does anyone know when Gwyneth travels dos she go to the airport like the rest of us or does she take a privet plane? I like the movie View From The top with her in it.

- Elizabeth on

Does Gwyn follow the Continuum Concept?

- Cher on

so adorable. i like her ear covers. Taylor Hanson’s son Ezra has the same ones in blue.

- alisha on

Looks like Apple is a mama’s girl. We seem to see alot of pictures just of Gwyneth and Apple.

- Elizabeth on

Cher: It does seem as though Gwynn does follow the Continuum (its that how its spelled) / AP approach, but who knows? I just think that motherhood has really softened her & I think their family is beautiful – I can’t wait for more fruit from them :D !!

- Jacks on

Brad Pitt was at the Live 8 concert in London. I wonder if he and Gwyn bumped into one another and if he met little apple!

- katyln on

Yo Jenn, “What’s live 8?”. Have you been living under a rock or what? It’s the sequel to Live Aid, organized by Bob Geldof, to help raise awareness for African poverty. It was 8 live concerts, running on the same day in London, Cornwall, Berlin, Moscow, Rome, Paris, Philadelphia etc.
They were timed to preceed the G8 economic summit. It went on yesterday.

- sy on

Yes, Gwyneth and Brad did bump into each other backstage. There was an article that said he hugged apple, gave gwyneth a kiss on the cheek and him and gwyneth seemed at ease with each other and gwyneth told him he should have a kid too! I guess bono, the edge and paul mccartney were going up to apple too.

- Laura on

that’s just the cutest thing! It’s going to be so much fun for Apple to see pix from this event, 20 years from now.
I remember seeing Princess Caroline’s children wearing protective ear covers for watching Formula One races in Monaco. I’m glad Gwyneth thought of that.

- millie on

sy- be nice, we don’t all know everything, aaaand once I said something similar to Danielle, I meant as a joke, but it hurt her feelings, and I learned to think about if things came off different than I meant, or harsher than I planned, etc.

As a stay at home mom with 19 & 23 year olds I rarely see, and an 8 year old too young, I missed this one, too.

But Apple is adorable! And I like that she’s usually with Gwyn at Chris’ events.

- patti on

Apple’s old enough to be talking now — I’d be very curious to hear what she sounds like. She has spent a lot of time in england but in the States as well. She’s going to have a very funny but very adorable accent!

- Chiara on

Apple is adorable – i saw a cute pic of her and mum chatting with Geldof daughter, Peaches and wondered if they were discussing fruit names!

- Havana on

Way cute. She looks so much like daddy.

I actually met the band a week and a half ago. We were at the show in Marley Park in Dublin. We got back to the hotel and they were getting out of their vans. We met them in the bar, but Chris left pretty quick. I did snag a picture though. I heard someone mentioning Gwyn and my hubby heard someone say Chris was going to the room to see them. So, maybe she does always/usually travel with him.

- Kellie on

She is so adorable (both of them i mean)…

Havan- i would love to see the pic of Peaches, Gwyn and Apple if you have it on the web?

- Shan on

what is the continuum concept?

- kat on

SY- about the G8 concerts- where is Cornwall? Are you talking about the Canadian concert? If so that one was in Barrie not Cornwall.

- Maya on

Yeah…I was at the Barrie concert…maybe before bitching to someone about not knowing about the concerts they should themselves make sure they have all their own facts straight.

As a teacher, I know that people learn by asking questions. We should never make anyone feel bad for asking questions and wanting to learn. We should encourage it. There are too many people in this world that are totally complacent with their own ignorance. Good for you Jenn for asking questions and wanting to learn.

- Emily on

Good point Emily. My daughter’s second grade teaacher taught them this year, no question is a dumb question, because at the
beginning of the year, no one would ask any, or even try to answer classroom stuff, they were so afraid they’d be ridiculed if wrong. And it is sad how much pressure these little people were putting on themselves, and how rampant low self-esteem was, and after talking to other family and friends around the country, it’s not just a local problem. And the bullying began, and sexual harrassment by boys only 2 years older, and even the “we’re too fat” out of 50# little girls! So not saying very much positive for our culture right now.

Totally off subject, but my little one watched “Dawn Anna” on Lifetime, then wrote a sympathy note to the family (For those of you who haven’t seen it, I won’t give away the subject or ending, but suffice to say it was an excellent movie, and comes out on DVD July 12. Stars Debra Winger, and directed by her husband, it’s a true story. You can reserve a copy at WalMart’s website.)(can also read an astricle by her in Feb 2005 Readers Digest)and the mom was king enough to write a thank you note back, and praise her thoughtfulness and artwork she’d put on the card, and they’ve written a time or two since. Ms Anna works to end bullyingand encourage kids to take pride in whatever they can, to help eliminate some of the violence and substance abuse and other issues that are far too common. So anyway, sorry if I get overly sensitive, I just think we need to rethink the messages we’re sending sometimes. And since I can no longer work, I have alot of time to think about it, and since my 8 year old is dealing with things my adult kids didn’t until high school, it’s quite scary. I found this site because I needed to see something happy for a change!

Thanks for anyone who “listened”, I’ll shut up now!

- patti on

I wonder if everything is alright with Chris and Gwyneth’s marriage. I see a lot of photos of other celebrity couples together with their children, but most of the pics I see of the martin family are just Gwyn and apple. it’s seems like chris doesn’t spend a great deal of quality time with his family. It’s especially bad for little Apple. Quality time with both parents is very important at her age.

- dreamgirl on

Awww, Apple’s adorable.

I think the reason we never see family pix is because CM is very shy and doesn’t care for the paparazzi. I’m sure he’s very involved in his child’s life, just moreso behind the scenes.

- anon on

The Cornwall concert that is referred to is referring to Cornwall in England, (there were 2 Live 8 Concerts here in the U.K on Sat 2nd of July).

The main cencert was in Hyde Park, however rumour has it that some people were unhappy that there didn’t seem to be very many ethnic performers and so they arranged the one in Cornwall, which is the one that Angelina Jolie took Maddox to, (I’m sure there is a picture posted on here of that).

- Cassie on

While Chris isn’t often pictured, there’s usually something from where he’s playing, or mentioned in some way. Apple and mom are always near where he is, so I think they must be fine. There was talk of another baby, so i’m pretty sure it’s all good.

- patti on

aww, shes so cute! I just saw a pic of apple walking with her mom in this mornings paper, so shes now walking, adorable!

- ellen on

hey there just wanted to add a comment about chris not being close to gwn and apple etc….i stayed in the same hotel as them after a gig last month and when we were down for breakfast chris was feeding apple, it was the cutest thing he was all over her and kept leanin over to kiss gwyneth – i dont think this couple have any problems whatsoever and it was obvious how much chris adores apple.

also for the person that commented that apple must be talking by now, on the backstage clips from live8 you could hear her blabbing away, she said mummy in a very english accent! but i couldnt make out the rest of what she said :)

- heather on

Apple is growing up so fast!!!!! She is such a little beauty.
