American Idol runner up marries pregnant girlfriend

People reports that American Idol runner up Bo Bice, 29, has married his pregnant girlfriend, Caroline Fischer, 24. They were married back on June 15th at the New Hope Prysbeterian Church in Shelby County, Alabama. It is the first marriage for both, who met while she was waitressing at a restaurant he frequented while working as a guitar store clerk.

While a rep for the pair denies that The couple is expecting, a CBB Reader in Alabama, who attends church with Caroline, says that she’s about 4 months along.

I thought they had been dating longer than 2 years? I thought that’s what I heard on American Idol one night. Who knows. Congrats to them! I love Bo. He is a very talented individual.

“American Idol” runner-up BO BICE is officially off the market. According to People, the 29-year-old recently tied the knot with his 24-year-old sweetheart, CAROLINE FISHER. The couple, who met at a café where Fisher worked, exchanged vows at a Presbyterian church in their Alabama hometown, reports the magazine. Bice finished the fourth season of FOX’s hit series behind country-crooning winner CARRIE UNDERWOOD. He previously worked as an employee at a guitar store in Alabama.

I enjoy bo but he was on The View a few weeks ago and when they asked him if he is dating he said, well I won’t say I will just let the tabloids think what they want – but he made it like he wasn’t. I guess he really just wants to try his best to keep his personal life – personal!

Bo was on The View last Wednesday, June 22, “Wednesday Mensday” they’re calling it now (Regis was on yesterday). I thought he hesitated just a bit before that reply, wondered if he was going to mention the baby I’d heard about in so many places in May, but now I see he was hiding he’d been married for a week! I really like him, he seems like a “real” person. I loved Carrie too, but I thought he made fewer mistakes, but then he seems more laid back, and maybe didn’t mind not being #1 since he’s got so many things going this year. Besides, the last 3 2nd placers haven’t done so bad for themselves. Wish him & the Mrs happiness, and a healthy baby.

Weird timing! Now doesn’t seem to be the time to get pregnant, and the only reason they got married is the pregnancy… I hope it last but I really don’t think it will. I feel insulted by women that get pregnant on purpose.

They were engaged before, and from what I understand, knew each other long before that. And who’s to say when or how or why they got married, could’ve been planned for that date all along, and I know the pregnancy came sometime during the committment to AI, and who cares if it’s planned, happy oops!, or any other scenario? He seems pretty well grounded, and happy. I don’t get the sense she “trapped” him either, and would that even work if he wasn’t into it? We are in the 21st century.
Am I to understand unplanned pregnancy is somehow preferable?
